The largest residence in the Akaiwa settlement

    Original Text

It is the largest residence in the "Akaiwa Important Traditional Buildings Preservation District, Sericulture Village, Akaiwa Village". Walking in the Akaiwa area is 1 time at a long time. I think it's a good idea to park your car at the Fureai no Ie on the west side of the village. When I visited, I felt like I couldn't enter the Yumoto family house, so I recommend checking carefully.

It's a wonderful historic reserve around here.

    Original Text

2021/4/23, from the day before, stay at Kusatsu Onsen, and after killing time, go to Super Otsu in Naganohara. The dried persimmon I wanted was sold out. Regain your mind and head for the Yumoto family here from Route 145 to Route 292 to Rokuai. On the way, there is an emerald green place in the Shirasuna River, and it is not possible, but when you stop and look, there is a Japanese antelope! Later, when I heard at the inn, it seems to be the incarnation of God around here. So, this Yumoto family, very history ...

A house that hid Dutch scholars in the Edo period

    Original Text

I visited at the Biennale. The house was built around 1806 and is located in the middle of the Akaiwa village. The Yumoto family has been a doctor since the Edo period. At the end of the Edo period, it is said that he hid Choei Takano, a Dutch scholar who studied at Siebold in Nagasaki, and the room is preserved as it used to be as "Choei no Ma". The building is made of fireproof with thick red soil, and you will be overwhelmed by the heavy appearance. The internal public is open to the public only on the last Sunday of every month ...

    Inside the Chiyan Collection

    Original Text

It is a farmhouse in the Akaiwa village, which is an important traditional building preservation district in the village of sericulture farmers. It is a farmhouse that has been expanded to the 3 floor for sericulture and hid Nagahide Takano. It is a simple village with little hands.
