John-Rabe House

National key cultural relics protection unit! Through it, you can understand the efforts of Rabe during the Nanjing Massacre! Rabe diary records various atrocities of the Japanese army, so that the time and future generations will not forget!

This is a place near Nanjing University (Guangzhou Road Campus), and there is no entrance fee.

Labe's former residence is located at No. 1 Xiaofen Bridge, Guangzhou Road, Gulou District, Nanjing City. It is now the South Park of Nanjing University's Gulou Campus, also known as the Nanjing University Labe and the International Security Zone Memorial Hall. It is the former residence of John Labe, the former chairman of Nanjing International Security Zone during the Anti-Japanese War. It is a small German-style western-style building.

On the west side of the Drum Tower Campus of Nanjing University, there is a small alley called Xiaofen Bridge. Follow Xiaofen Bridge to the south. When you go to Guangzhou Road, the right side of the road is the former residence of Labei. Because it is a holiday, it is not open to the outside world. I have been here a few times before. In the 1930s, this was the representative office of Siemens in Nanjing, and John Labe was the representative of Siemens in Nanjing. Nanjing University, separated by a wall, was the influential Jinling University. Rabe protected and saved tens of thousands of Chinese refugees' lives when the Japanese occupied Nanjing, and Rabe's diary also records the atrocities of the Japanese army.
