Steam Locomotation and Peace Museums
A local couple guided us to the Futumata Radium Hotel and then to the steam locomotive museum and the peace museum at the Oshamanbe Town Center. The peace museum holds several ‘hidden Christian’ relic...
It is an exhibition facility about the history and culture of Osamabe. As a key point of transportation (railway), you can feel various aspects such as as a mining city. In particular, the railway-related exhibitions are substantial and highly recommended.
JR It is a town center located in the s Raiyama River of Nagamanbe Onsen, which is located across the bridge from Nagamanbe Station. You can enter the museum for free and it is an archaeological & Ainu & Ethnic Folk Museum around Nagamanbe. Also, on the 1 floor, the railway named Railway Village has a museum, and there are many situations of Osamabe Station, which was once crowded at the fork of many routes, and many discontinued line materials are displayed. This time, I was particularly interested in the exhibition about the Shizukari Marsh in the neighboring town, which is now gone.
It is a cultural facility located a little ahead of the Osamabe Onsen town. Although it is named the Town Citizens Center, it is a historical museum & Folk Museum on the slope. It covers the history of the development of Osamabe from archaeology to the latest. A large number of railway-related materials are exhibited when Ainu materials are exhibited, the transition of Shizukari Marsh, and when it was a railway city. In addition, it is free.
It was an exhibition that was well maintained and could understand the local area well. I thought the curator was amazing, but it must be an area with the understanding of the town. Above all, I was able to receive explanations from the manager, which was a better experience than anything else. This is a place where you want to visit several times and experience fieldwork. Thank you for your response to lunch time in the cold.
