Beautiful town with beautifully painted houses
Beautiful town of Isle of Skye with many shops & restaurants. The people are very nice and accommodating. Can be very busy as main tourists area. Boating cruises available at the pier
Car parking is a nightmare
At all times of day and night it's hard to get parking and all of it close to town is paid parking and maximum time is 3 hours. We made the mistake of staying in Portree, thinking it would be a good b...
Stunning view
Portree harbour loch views are outstanding and there are also many eateries around the harbour including a fish and chip shop.

The town is really nice with many shops and eating establishments but a walk down to the harbour is a must as the loch is worth seeing.
