Hellfire Pass Interpretive Centre and Memorial Walking Trail

Beautiful place is a museum that collects pictures and videos that brings soldiers to build a train across to Myanmar. The cruelty of the war has a changed area to look shady, very natural, walking downstairs is an unfinished train. And a memorial to the soldiers who died from the war

Historical sites of prisoners World War II 2 who were supposed to build a train track from Burma, this place was maintained by Australia, there is a museum collecting antiques, photos, different history during that period. The site of the tracks construction must walk to the back for almost a kilometer. But the route is very good. The steep period must be a little strong. Children and elderly must be careful.

A good day out and very moving. Hellfire pass must of truly been hell on earth for the POW’s involved in having to cut their way through this hillside and move the rubble by hand.A interesting and and somewhat somber piece of our history but well worth a visit as I never understood the magnitude of the earth that was moved to create the pass until visiting. unfortunately when we where there the center was closed so we took a walk along the trailready the information as we walked along and also reading the memorials left by family members for their loved ones.I also understand that every 25th of April ANZAC day they hold a ceremony here in memory of those that where on the Railway and elsewhere.

A section of the Myanmar-Taiwan railway died, the black history of the railway records the most difficult section of the Myanmar-Taiwan railway construction, also called Hellfire name from a group of Australian and British prisoners of war, working hard next to the hand of the Japanese magazine of the fierce temple, feeling like hell life
