It was impressive that the family crest was carved on the decoration of the shrine.

In the early Edo period, it is said that it is a shrine enshrined by Katori Shrine in Chiba Prefecture with the Lord of Tsutsuzu, "Futsunushi no Kami" to calm the plague of Narai-juku. The family crest of Sawa is carved into the decoration of the shrine, and I thought that I had never seen it anywhere else, probably because I hadn't noticed it before. After visiting here, I went sightseeing in Narai-juku.
This [main shrine] is surrounded by a covered shop with a wooden fence. Every year on August 12th, only the "Annual Festival (Evening Festival August 11th)" opens the door of the covered shop and you can see [main shrine]. It seems to be a shrine of a rare form

This [main shrine] is surrounded by a wooden fence, and only the "Annual Festival (Evening Festival August 11)" on August 12 every year, the door of the cover is opened and you can see [main shrine]. It seems to be a rare form of shrine. Therefore, if you visit other than the "Experienced Festival", you may not be able to touch the landscape like a shrine, and it may be a little ガッカリ. On the other hand, [Kando] has a new one, and [Kando]'s [Kando] is [Golden Ball (Property?)], and [Kando]'s [Kando] is [Children (...)]
It is about a 20-minute walk from Narai Station. It is located in the back along the old Nakasendo. 2020 Year 10 I came at the end of the month. Since it is on a hill, you can see the scenery of Narai-juku and see the autumn leaves from the torii gate. It will be a quiet shrine because there are not many tourists.
A quiet shrine just ahead of Narai-juku and Kosatsuba. Did you visit when entering Narai-juku? It's probably the guardian of the post station. It's a small shrine, but it's a place where you can feel the history.
It is located on the edge of the torii pass. In the Edo period, I think I continued to see people 々 who came and went on Nakasendo. It takes about 30 minutes on foot from here to the station and Kiso Ohashi Bridge.

The view from the shrine is very good

At the end of Narai juku
