Original Text
It is said to be the family temple of the Tsuyama feudal lord. It is a temple of the Rinzai sect with a Zen temple. The precincts were large and the main hall was a large building. The stone-paved approach and stone lanterns made me feel the history.

It is a temple of the Myoshinji school of the Rinzai sect, and it will be the family temple of the Mori family, which is famous among the Oda families that governed this area during the Edo period. There seems to be a mausoleum next to the main hall, but it doesn't usually open. The precincts are quite large.
It was a fantastic and solemn festival. The family crest of the Mori family, which floated with about 1400 lights, was quite a sight to see. This is the Zen temple of the Mori family of the Tsuyama domain. The sect is the Myoshinji school of the Rinzai sect. The temple itself is not so old and only 700 years have passed. There are many important cultural properties in this temple. It seems that this Mantokai has only been 3 years since it was resumed.
The family temple of the Mori family, who was the feudal lord of Tsuyama. The main hall seems to be designated as an important cultural property and is a heavy building. The entrance is closed, but there are Mori family mausoleums and graveyards in the precincts.
It is the family temple of the Mori family, who was the feudal lord of Tsuyama from the beginning to the middle of the Edo period, and the name of Hongenji is said to have been taken from the kaimyo (posthumous name) of the first feudal lord. It is located a short distance from Teramachi-dori in the Josai district of Tsuyama City. There is also a distance from the mountain gate to the middle gate, and in the past it would have boasted a fairly large temple area. You can freely enter the precincts, and you can see the exterior of the main hall, which is designated as a national important cultural property. It is a stately building that is said to have been built during the Momoyama period. The shape of the pine tree in front of the main hall is also good.
