Zhoutie Town

Zhoutie Town is a city of Yixing, Wuxi City, located on the west bank of Taihu Lake. It is a famous historical and cultural town in China. It is the political, economic and cultural center in the northeast of Yixing City, Jiangsu Province, and one of the key central towns in Jiangsu Province. Zhoutie Town has a total area of 71.35 square kilometers (2017), and a total population of 6.09 million people (2017). The land and water transportation is convenient, directly to the three major cities of Shanghai, Ning, Hangzhou, the west of Xiyi Expressway, along the Taihu Lake shore line of more than 20 kilometers, there are 25 lake ports, the lake shore scenery is beautiful, all the traffic main roads in the territory have been built into green roads, green water transportation.

Zhoutie Town has a long history, outstanding people, and excellent traditions of respecting teachers and teaching have created a strong cultural heritage, known as "Yangxian Zhuangyuandi, Zhoutie Professor Township". Zhoutie Town still retains its appearance at the time and has not been over-commercialized.

Zhoutie Town is a town near Taihu Lake in Yixing. Zhoutie has an old city temple, and there is an ancient ginkgo tree in front of the temple, which is said to have been more than 1800 years old. This ancient tree stands by the Hengtang River that will inject Taihu Lake. It is rumored that the ginkgo tree was planted by Wu Guotai, the mother of Sun Quan. The Chenghuang Temple here was rebuilt in 2012, and now with the ancient ginkgo and Hengtang River, it has become a scenic spot in the town, especially in the late autumn, people come here to watch the ginkgo historical river flowing like this.
