The Pont Pierre, located in Bordeaux, France, was the first bridge over the Garonne River and was built in 1819. In the process of building the bridge, the builders encountered many difficulties, and later, they borrowed a diving bell from England to stabilize the bridge, which has 17 arches (the alphanumeric of Napoleon's name).
