Photos of The Castle Garden

The Castle Garden is located on the former site of the Krumlov Castle Riding School and is a baroque garden. There is a waterfall fountain in the center of the garden, which is known as the first Schönbrunn in the Czech Republic. The garden was built during the Eigenberg family and was rebuilt in the twentieth century to its original design. The garden is divided into an upper garden and a lower garden. The upper garden is mainly composed of natural scenery of woods and a characteristic theater pasture. You can have a picnic on the pasture or rest in an open-air cafe. The lower garden has more artificial ingredients and is more refined and elegant. The plants in the flowerbed in the garden are neatly trimmed and arranged in a regular order. From the corner door of the flowerbed, there is a path leading to Krumlov Castle.
