Snowdonia National Park is one of the most stunning corners of the UK, with dramatic mountains, glacial lakes, and rolling green valleys as far as the eye can see. Mount Snowdon itself (Yr Wyddfa) is the highest peak in Wales, and whether you hike up or take the little mountain railway to the summit, the views are absolutely worth it. The weather can change quickly, so it adds to the adventure — one moment misty and moody, the next bright sunshine lighting up the hills. The countryside feels wild and unspoiled, with charming stone villages, sheep grazing on the hillsides, and waterfalls tucked away along the trails. What made the trip even better was the people — genuinely friendly, welcoming, and happy to share tips on the best walking routes or a good local spot for food. It’s the kind of place that stays with you long after you leave, and I’d recommend it to anyone who loves nature, hiking, or just a slower pace surrounded by beautiful scenery.
