Guest User: The Chengde Qiwanglou Hotel boasts an excellent location, seemingly right next to the Mountain Resort. It's said to have been Emperor Qianlong's imperial study, featuring a charming traditional courtyard layout. The environment is absolutely delightful, with lush green grass and deer leisurely grazing and wandering around – perfect for photos! The cat at the front desk is also adorable. The hotel even offers free traditional costumes for guests to take pictures, and it's these unique selling points that justify the price. As for the rooms, they're quite ordinary and don't really live up to the cost. A more accurate description would be 'five-star price, three-star room.' Despite this, I'll probably choose to stay here again next time I visit!

Guest User: Exceeded expectations, super satisfied! 👍👍👍 We took our child to Chengde for the weekend, and after comparing several hotels, we chose Atour near the Mountain Resort. We were extremely satisfied after checking in. First, it's incredibly close to the Mountain Resort, Guandi Temple, and the night market, all within 100-500 meters. We could walk to the Mountain Resort, avoiding the inconvenience of long-distance taxi rides. In the evening, I highly recommend Liu Ge's juicy grilled cold noodles at the night market next to the hotel. The hotel breakfast was plentiful, and the staff were warm and welcoming. We'll definitely choose Atour again next time! 🌹🌹🌹

Huanledeshuidi: Hygienic: The room is clean and tidy, the size of the cover is right, and the two people are just right. Environment: The hotel is surrounded by the road, and there is noise during sleep at night. Facilities: There is a parking lot in the backyard of the hotel. The room has independent air conditioning. Breakfast is available. There are quite a lot of varieties. Stuff, cold dishes, hot dishes, porridge. Hot soup. Coffee, milk, soy milk. Service: The front desk service is enthusiastic. Reasonable needs can be solved in time. Next time I come to Chengde to play, I will choose here.

Guest User: I stayed two nights during the National Day holiday. Located in the new city area, it's not far from various attractions. The facilities are quite good; there's parking at the entrance, and shopping malls and restaurants are right next door, making it very convenient. A large river flows behind the hotel, offering beautiful scenery. Ms. Liu from the tourism department on the first floor gave us a tour of Puning Temple and the Summer Palace; she was very warm, attentive, and provided excellent explanations. Hotel guests can find guides nearby at the tourism department; it's a reputable agency, so I feel more at ease.

I'd definitely come back to Vienna Hotel Chengde Mountain Resort if I get the chance.

Doufukuairele: Environment: The hotel is near Puning Temple, about 10 minutes' drive from the Summer Resort. There is its own free parking lot in front of the hotel with a moderate number of parking spaces. Facilities: The room space is moderate and the curtains are fully automatic. Because it is adjacent to the road, it is a bit noisy when vehicles pass by outside. Hygiene: The cleaning aunt cleans relatively cleanly Service: The front desk staff has a warm service attitude. The air conditioner in the room needs to be turned on manually by the front desk, which is solved in a timely manner. I don’t know if the breakfast room is understaffed, but when I enter the door, the aunt reminds me that I need to put the finished dishes into the kitchen waste cart. If you want to eat poached eggs, you need to fry them yourself.

Built during the Zhengde reign of the Ming Dynasty, it is a representative work of classical Jiangnan gardens and is known as one of the Four Great Gardens of China, alongside the Summer Palace in Beijing, the Chengde Mountain Resort, and the Lingering Garden in Suzhou. The entire garden is centered around water, with winding landscapes, exquisite pavilions, and lush greenery, full of the rich charm of a Jiangnan water town. Many people just follow the main path during their visit, but the corners actually hide many subtle details from the designers✨. I've compiled a few spots I've personally tested that are less crowded and great for photos. Each one is worth exploring slowly: The first is the waterfront platform next to the "Shuxiang Hall" in the East Garden⭐⭐⭐⭐. Just take the small path to the left after entering. Most people rush straight to the Central Garden, so this area is almost empty. The wooden platform is built right by the water, facing rockeries and scattered pavilions. Water lilies float on the surface, and when the breeze blows, the swaying willow branches soften your heart. It's incredibly relaxing to just sit on a stone bench and daydream. The second is the corridor behind the "Xiaofeihong" bridge, west of the "Yuanxiang Hall" in the Central Garden⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. Everyone is busy photographing the bridge itself, and few people walk to the corridor behind it. Standing in the corridor and shooting outwards, the eaves perfectly frame the Xiaofeihong bridge, the water, and the pavilions on the opposite bank, creating a natural ink-wash painting. On cloudy days, it comes with a built-in Jiangnan misty rain filter. When I went, there were only two ladies taking photos here, so there was absolutely no need to wait for a spot. The third is the bamboo path north of the "Liuting Pavilion" in the West Garden⭐⭐⭐⭐. Walking west from the "Hall of Thirty-Six Mandarin Ducks," there is a small bamboo grove. The path is winding, and the sunlight filtering through the bamboo leaves creates beautiful dappled light. When the wind blows, the rustling of the bamboo leaves blocks out the noise from outside. Walking inside, you really get the feeling of "a winding path leading to a secluded spot." I've put together some practical tips for you: ⚠️ To avoid the crowds, it's recommended to enter right when it opens at 8:30 AM, or after 3:00 PM. There are fewer tour groups during these times. ⚠️ You can book tickets in advance via the official WeChat account. During peak season, it's recommended to book 3 days in advance. You can enter by scanning your ID card on-site. ⚠️ For photos, it's recommended to wear light-colored clothing, which matches the garden's grey tiles and white walls very well. Try to avoid wearing colors that are too bright or flashy. If you visit the Humble Administrator's Garden in Suzhou, don't just follow the crowds on the main path. When we were there in late November, we had the entire place to ourselves. We loved the beautiful architecture, the tranquility of the surrounding town, and the overall experience. I would recommend people traveling to Beijing to take a day or two and visit this hidden gem of China.

WEI CHENG LIENIt was well woth booking. Ot took out the stress of finding reliable transport and buying the tickets myself. And the Jinshanling section is stunningly beautiful. You do need to be somewhat fit, but if you book this trip you are probably aware of that already, since this is part of the appeal of this section. There are plenty of people, but sometimes you are alone for minutes on end. Loved the mix.

The front area is decorated in Han and Manchu styles, while the back area, up the stairs, is Tibetan style. The largest existing wooden Thousand-Armed Guanyin statue is located in the Mahayana Pavilion in the back area, and there are many other buildings worth exploring further back. Overall, it's worth a visit!
