The "Hetula City" you mentioned is likely Hetuala City. All four of these places are in Liaoning, but they are scattered (Anshan, Huludao, Fushun). Today, there are few remnants of the ancient town, but the fame of Niuzhuang meat pies is enough to justify a dedicated trip. 🎫 Ticket & Time: The ancient town is free and open all day. You can visit Taiping Bridge, the Great Mosque, and the Sino-Japanese War ruins along the way. 🍜 Must-eat: The Niuzhuang meat pie is the soul of the town. It has a thin crust with a generous filling, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The beef & onion and lamb & cilantro fillings are the classics. Two pies are usually enough to fill you up. Drive to Ximu City Stone Dolmen and discover a free "National Treasure" in Haicheng
Located in Gusaocun, Ximu Town, Haicheng City, Anshan, Liaoning, is a massive stone structure—the Ximu City Stone Dolmen. It is a relic of the Bronze Age megalithic culture, dating back 3,500–4,000 years. It is currently the oldest preserved above-ground structure in China and was designated as a fifth-batch "National Treasure" in June 2001. Because it resembles a stone house, the dolmen was historically called a "stone shed," and during the Han Dynasty, it was also known as a "crown stone" due to its resemblance to an imperial crown. There were originally two dolmens, known as the Sister-in-Law Stones. The one on the mountain is the Sister Stone, which is well-preserved. The one at the foot of the mountain was the Sister-in-Law Stone, which was destroyed between 1951 and 1952 due to road construction, leaving only a remnant of the north wall. According to experts, the dolmen was a large-scale sacrificial site. 🌈Highlights: ✅ The dolmen is constructed from 6 massive granite slabs fitted together. It stands 2.8 meters high and consists of 1 floor slab, 3 wall slabs, and 1 capstone weighing about 45 tons, with a half-slab on the south side serving as a door. The dolmen is surrounded by iron railings, but there is an opening that allows visitors to enter. There are three plaques around the dolmen: one "National Treasure" plaque and two "Provincial Treasure" plaques. ✅ The capstone is nearly square, measuring 5.8–6 meters long (north-south) and 5.1–5.2 meters wide (east-west), with a thickness of 0.25–0.5 meters. The east, west, and north wall slabs support the capstone, while the south wall door slab is shorter, at 1.15 meters high. ✅ The stone slabs were finely polished and precisely fitted. The fact that the dolmen has stood for thousands of years without collapsing reflects the early human technique of using megaliths to build structures. His explanations are engaging and vivid, bringing the history of the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China to life in a relatable way, not just reading from a textbook. He's considerate of everyone's pace, patiently answers all questions, and points out great photo spots. There's absolutely no hard selling. Only after listening to him do you truly understand the stories behind each palace and mansion. Visit him in Shenyang for a truly unforgettable experience! ✨

There were so many people and tourists that I didn't have time to take in many things. It's like a low-end version of the Forbidden City in Beijing. Many of the artifacts on display were discarded from the Forbidden City. Some rooms were off-limits, so people crowded around the entrances to take photos. There was no lighting inside, so the photos didn't look great. The architecture is still quite distinctive.

The referential usage of the word "厝" is more common in the southeastern coastal areas of China. It is a miracle that it can also be seen in Haicheng, a city in the northeast! But generally speaking, the landscape of Cuoshishan Park is still very beautiful.
