🏰 Echoes of History: Under the Oak Tree Where the Queen Was Crowned In Hertfordshire, 21 miles north of London, stands a legendary manor that has witnessed the changing of British dynasties—Hatfield House. This aristocratic residence, built in 1497, is not only the childhood home of Queen Elizabeth I but is also known for a 400-year-old oak tree: in 1558, the young Elizabeth received the edict of her coronation under this tree, ushering in the "Golden Age" of the British Empire. Today, this oak tree, sculpted by time, still stands in the manor, as if telling the glory of the Tudor dynasty. 🎬 A Must-Visit for Movie Fans: The Noble World on the Screen The magnificent architecture and exquisite gardens of Hatfield House make it a "natural studio" for countless classic films and television: · The Crown*: The filming location for the Queen's coronation scene, the carved staircase and symmetrical layout of the Marble Hall perfectly replicate the royal demeanor. · Batman* Series: In the 1989 and 1992 films, the manor's Gothic cloisters and maze gardens were transformed into mysterious corners of Gotham City. · The King's Speech*: The historical scene of George VI's speech therapy unfolds slowly in the manor's classic study. In addition, Oscar-winning films such as *The Favourite* and *Rebecca* have also been filmed here. Walking through it is like stepping into a movie scene. 🌸 Secret Realm Exploration: The Challenge of the East Garden Maze The East Garden of the manor is one of the most complex mazes in England and is only open on Wednesdays. This maze, built with hedges, covers a large area with winding paths, and a sculpture symbolizing victory is hidden in the center. Why not have a "treasure hunt" with family and friends to see who can solve the maze puzzle first! 📸 A Visual Feast: The Art of Gardens in Four Seasons · West Garden*: With the fountain as the center, the four-winged flowerbeds are as colorful as a palette, with tulips in spring and roses in summer competing for beauty. · East Garden Maze*: Autumn is the best season to explore, with red leaves forming a sharp contrast with the green hedges of the maze. · Winter Egg*: Although some parts of the manor are closed, the festive lights and ancient buildings under the snow have a unique tranquility. 🚂 Transportation Guide: A "Royal Day Trip" in the Suburbs of London · Train*: Take the express train from London King's Cross Station, which takes 20 minutes to Hatfield Station. The manor is a 10-minute walk from the station. · Self-driving*: Take the A1 highway to Exit 4, then take the A414/A1000 highway. The pastoral scenery along the way is picturesque. 🎟️ Tickets and Tips · Joint ticket* (including palace, West Garden, park): GBP 19 for adults and GBP 9 for children. · Separate garden ticket*: GBP 11 for adults, suitable for tourists with limited budgets. · Opening hours*: Wednesday to Sunday 11:00-16:00, closed on Monday and Tuesday (except for special holidays). · Best season*: Spring and autumn are the seasons when the gardens are in full bloom, and in summer, you can combine nearby attractions (such as Reginald Tower and Holy Trinity Church) to plan a day trip. 📜 Conclusion: Encounter the Poetic Residence of the British Aristocracy In Hatfield House, every step echoes with history. Whether it is touching the silk gloves worn by Elizabeth I or following in the footsteps of Batman in the maze, this manor can satisfy all your imaginations about British aristocratic life. Pack your bags and start a "royal holiday" that travels through 400 years!

Built in 1611, Hatfield House is considered one of the best examples of Jacobean architecture in England. The children of King Henry VIII, including Queen Mary I, Queen Elizabeth I, and King Edward VI, all grew up here. During the reign of her sister, Queen Mary, Queen Elizabeth I was briefly imprisoned here. It was also at Hatfield House, under a tree in the garden, that Queen Elizabeth I received the news that Queen Mary I had died and that she would be crowned queen.

The bed was soft and comfortable, with exquisite bedding for a good night's sleep. The room's facilities were not luxurious, but they were complete. The old-fashioned lamp gave off a soft light, creating a warm atmosphere in the room. The private bathroom was clean and tidy, with a stable hot water supply and a full range of toiletries. 🍽️ Delicious Food The breakfast at the lodge was unforgettable. A traditional English breakfast was laid out on the table, with golden fried eggs, crispy bacon, and plump sausages, accompanied by perfectly toasted bread and a cup of rich English tea to start the day off right. Located in Hertfordshire, England, Hatfield is a charming town that blends historical charm with modern style. It's like a dazzling pearl embedded in a green field. 🏰🌳 When it comes to Hatfield, one cannot ignore its profound historical heritage. Although the name is more associated with football players or psychologists in modern times, the town itself carries a wealth of historical stories. Imagine strolling down the ancient streets of Hatfield, with classical buildings that have stood the test of time on both sides. Each brick seems to tell the story of past glory. 🏛️👣 What is particularly eye-catching is Hatfield House, a Renaissance building built in the 16th century, which was once the palace of King Henry VIII of the Tudor dynasty. 🏰 The interior of the palace is luxuriously decorated, blending Arab style with Chinese elements. While admiring its aesthetic value, one can also deeply feel the unique charm of that period of history. Here, visitors can travel through time and space and experience a fantasy of a royal feast. In addition to historical sites, modern life in Hatfield is also full of vitality. As a town, it retains the unique tranquility and harmony of the British, while also being full of modern conveniences. The town is full of cafes, restaurants, and shops. Whether you're looking for an authentic English breakfast or enjoying a cup of fragrant afternoon tea, you can find it here. ☕️🍴 In addition, Hatfield is also known for its rich festival celebrations and community activities. Every Christmas and Easter, the town holds grand celebrations, with streets full of lights and decorations, and people gathering together to share the joy of the festival. 🎄🥚 These activities not only enrich the lives of residents, but also attract many tourists to experience traditional British culture. For international students or tourists, Hatfield is an ideal place to live. The people here are friendly and enthusiastic, respect multiculturalism, and provide a warm and inclusive environment for newcomers. 👭🌍 At the same time, the town is conveniently located, making it easy to travel to big cities like London or explore the surrounding natural scenery.
Having visited the Harry Potter studios in Tokyo before, I was familiar with the earlier parts. The difference was that the London studio included an exhibit on Gringotts Castle, and during our visit, there were some Death Eater performances, which were quite entertaining. Finally, the entire Hogwarts Castle wasn't just an exhibit; it also featured a light and shadow show. If I were to personally recommend visiting the Harry Potter studios for the first time, I'd suggest going to London. Firstly, the language is more familiar to Chinese people, and secondly, there's more interaction. Also, in terms of transportation, it's a 20-minute walk from Uston Station to Watford Junction Station, where there's a free shuttle bus to the studios, which is very convenient.
卡罗尔The British Museum was definitely a highlight of my London trip. It was well worth spending a whole afternoon there, and I feel like I'd go back again! A special thank you to my guide today, Diana; she was professional, reliable, and her explanations were engaging, patient, and entertaining, adding a wonderful surprise to my museum visit.
小米粒儿Super fast and convenient! No need to book days in advance. I just bought my ticket on Trip.com right when I arrived, and it was issued within seconds. Highly recommend!
Quah8Classic, actors and actresses sang and acted well. Bring chills to me with all the Opera sings
PetyongAfter visiting Windsor Castle and Chatsworth House (Darcy Estate), we then visited Buckingham Palace. If you could only visit one palace in the UK, it would have to be Buckingham Palace. Photography is not allowed inside the royal palaces, as is the case with Windsor Castle, so we could focus on the guided tour. The gift shop after the Buckingham Palace tour has some limited-edition items available only there, making great souvenirs. I bought a Buckingham Palace + Royal Horse Stables combo ticket. The product page stated that visiting the Royal Horse Stables allowed direct entry to Buckingham Palace, but this wasn't actually the case. The State Rooms and the Royal Horse Stables are exchanged at two separate locations, not far apart. However, the ticket exchange and verification are handled by different people, and the verification personnel strictly adhere to the reserved time. The Royal Horse Stables houses the Golden Carriage used exclusively for coronation ceremonies, which is worth seeing; there are also carriages for tourists to ride in and take photos.
lilianna0309Much cheaper than the official website, and the entry was incredibly smooth. The Great Dome was absolutely stunning; it was definitely worth the effort to climb up and overlook the east bank of the Thames. I even went to see the Harry Potter staircase from the staff. A truly fulfilling experience.
花花小兔This is a must-see attraction in London. The architecture itself and its historical and cultural value are both important. After seeing so many royal coffins, you can't even remember who's who. The tombstones of Darwin and Hawking are also a must-see.
M14***49The must-see exhibit is the Royal Jewels exhibition. A basic understanding of British history is recommended for a truly worthwhile visit. From here, you can see Tower Bridge and The Shard. It's easily accessible by the Underground.
M14***49I've read the novel and seen the movie many years ago, but this is my first time seeing a live musical! The actors' singing skills were superb, their performances were extremely moving, and the stage set was very realistic. The stage recreated the era of hardship described by Hugo. The entire theater was packed, and the applause was thunderous at the end of the curtain. The atmosphere was truly amazing!
