My Autumn Escape at Mountain Ridge Wines, NSW — traveler post in Huskisson

My Autumn Escape at Mountain Ridge Wines, NSW

As I wound my way through New South Wales' countryside, the autumn foliage set the hills ablaze in amber and ruby. My spontaneous day trip led me to **Mountain Ridge Wines Restaurant & Cellar Door**, where the crisp harvest air carried the promise of warmth and flavor. The Cellar Door's stone fireplace glowed as I settled in for a tasting. "Our Shiraz tastes like liquid autumn," the winemaker joked, and I agreed—each sip of their bold reds carried whispers of woodsmoke and blackberry jam. At the sunlit restaurant, I devoured pumpkin ravioli with brown butter sage, the dish mirroring the golden vines outside the windows. What I adored most was the unhurried rhythm. Between courses, I wandered through rows of gnarled vines, kicking up caramel-colored leaves. In the distance, the Brokenback Range stood sentinel under a cobalt sky. By day's end, clutching a bottle of their reserve Cabernet, I realized this was autumn perfected—a symphony of robust flavors, crackling fires, and landscapes that looked freshly dipped in honey. Sometimes the best journeys need no itinerary

JERVIS BAY WILD CRUISES

The weather in Australia is truly unpredictable. The time we chose in advance turned into a beautiful but freezing day of continuous rain. Fortunately, we had our guide, Pan, with us. His witty remarks throughout the trip helped us quickly understand the Australian culture and customs, as well as the questions we had. I would rate this trip as follows: 5 points for the weather, 8 points for the attractions, and 10 points for the guide. I look forward to coming back with better weather next time!

Dolphin Watch Cruises Jervis Bay

You need a camera with a lens of at least 200 to capture it clearly. The maximum lens I have is only 80, but it is still worth it. Australia has strong winds and waves, so remember to wear waterproof clothing and sun protection.

Jervis Bay

Jervis Bay at the end of South Wales. The scenery is so beautiful that it is beyond description. It was cloudy and drizzling that day, so the photos are a bit dark, but it still can't block the beautiful scenery. Fine yellow sand, blue sea, white clouds, seagulls flying, and a whale watching group ready to set off. Highly recommended.

Sydney Opera House

The theater isn't very large, so the view from the second floor was excellent, and the actors' performances were very lifelike, with very interesting dialogue. Plus, the theater has a beautiful terrace with floor-to-ceiling windows; I took some lovely photos there in the afternoon!
