![The Tongxiao Sunset Boulevard, hailed as the "most beautiful highway scenery in Taiwan," is located at the Xinpu Interchange in Tongxiao Township, Miaoli County (Xinpu Connector of Provincial Highway 61 West Coast Expressway). This straight road, only about 500 meters long, faces the sea directly. At sunset, one can enjoy a breathtakingly romantic view of the setting sun and the seamless blend of sea and sky. Here's a guide to chasing the sunset: Key Viewing and Photography Points: Best Viewing Period: May to July is the most suitable time to view the sunset. Perfect Sunset Position (Most Perfect Sea View): Around May 20th to 25th and July 18th to 23rd each year, the sun will be directly in the center of the road, creating a classic spot for photographers. Sunset Time: In summer, sunset time is approximately between 6:30 PM and 6:50 PM (depending on the specific date and weather). Previously, traffic chaos arose from tourists vying to take photos on the road. The Miaoli County Government has now built the "Tongxiao Sunset Boulevard Viewpoint" alongside the connecting road. Admission: Free. Facilities: Elevated viewing platform, pedestrian walkway, parking lot, and public restrooms. Safety Reminder: Please stay on the viewing platform or designated walkway for taking photos. Do not linger or run onto the road to avoid accidents and legal penalties. Transportation Information: By car/bike (highly recommended): Simply use your mobile map navigation to search for "Tongxiao Sunset Boulevard Viewpoint" for accurate directions.
