Kawagoe, actually only an hour’s drive from Tokyo, is a great little town for a day trip! Once you step into Kawagoe, you feel like you've traveled back to the Edo era. The old street is lined with old wooden houses, full of nostalgic life atmosphere. Walking in it is really super taste😚 In addition to the classic photo spot Glacier Shrine, this trip also went to CHIIKAWA specialty store. Day trip to Kawagoe, flash full marks!

🌸Kawagoe Key Itinerary Recommendation:
First stop: Glacier Shrine
Glacier Shrine is the most popular photo spot in Kawagoe, with a simple appearance, the focus is on the atmosphere of praying for blessings is super good, especially in summer there is a love wind chime festival, super colorful wind chimes swaying, full of romantic atmosphere. Drawing lots for luck and taking photos are very popular here. It feels like both body and mind have been healed!
📍Address: Japan 〒350-0052 Saitama, Kawagoe, Miyashitamachi, 2 Chome−11−3
⏰Opening Hours: 08:00 - 16:30 (Open all year round)
Tips: There is a small stall next to the main entrance where you can buy royal guards and love fortunes. Walking into the main hall, you can also visit and participate in the prayer ceremony.

Second stop: CHIIKAWA store
CHIIKAWA's popular character, which has been super popular in recent years, has a physical store in Kawagoe! Limited edition souvenirs only one, super many peripherals, including stationery, puppets, small snacks, everything is super cute, must-sweep limited edition, very suitable for friends or yourself. If you want to avoid the crowds, it is recommended to go at noon or after lunch, there are fewer people can slowly pick 😆

Stop 3: Kawagoe Old Street & Clock of Hours
The wooden buildings on both sides of Kawagoe Old Street are very Edo nostalgic flavor. You can walk through the alleys at will, take pictures of the clock and various specialty shops. It is recommended to try wagashi, charcoal grilled dumplings, and matcha ice cream. The old street is not long, and it only takes more than an hour to walk slowly, and you can find specialty coffee shops or grocery shops at any time on the way.

🍜 Food recommendations:
· Bakery Inaba: Must try handmade wagashi, small dumplings
· Confectionery Main Store: Super popular matcha ice cream
· Fukuoka Cafe: Old house converted cafe with Japanese pastries with hand-brewed coffee

🚃 Transportation Guide:
From Tokyo, you can take the Seibu Line or JR to Kawagoe Station, which takes about an hour and walk for about 15 minutes after exiting the station to reach Old Street.

✨Itinerary Tips:
1. Many attractions in Kawagoe are not big, it is recommended to wear comfortable shoes, walking will be more.
2. Popular peripherals at CHIIKAWA stores are often sold out, going early is more secure.
3. Visiting the Glacier Shrine is recommended in the morning to avoid the crowds and experience a quieter experience.

Kawagoe Day Trip is suitable for travelers who want to experience the traditional Japanese nostalgic atmosphere. Limited edition souvenirs, Japanese snacks, and shrine check-in are all satisfied at once!
