California Academy of Sciences

A Magical Night at the California Academy of Sciences ✨🦋What a wonderful evening at the California Academy of Sciences! The place was buzzing with energy, thanks to a festive blend of Mexico’s traditional celebrations and Halloween..My absolute favorite was the tropical rainforest, where beautiful butterflies fluttered freely all around us. The space was warm, humid, and a little narrow, but its unique spiral layout made exploring it feel like a fun little adventure. Being surrounded by fluttering butterflies in such a lush, tropical environment was truly magical. The planetarium was another highlight. I loved how it presented the wonders of the universe through a scientific lens, making the experience both fascinating and thought-provoking.Between the enchanting rainforest, the captivating planetarium, and the festive mix of Mexican traditions and Halloween spirit, it was an evening filled with wonder, discovery and fun. A truly memorable experience!

Filoli Historic House & Garden

Filoli Garden House was absolutely a bang for a buck! It was so stunning with various kinds of flower during peak blooming season of springtime. Historic House was amazing as well with ethereal interior design, especially the gorgeous arts of floral arrangement in different vases.

San Francisco Museum of Modern Art

It's definitely worth a visit; many of the artworks are quite impressive. There are so many museums in the US! This museum isn't far from Union Square; the service is also good, and the staff are very welcoming.

Golden Gate Park

Kinmen Park is so big my feet hurt. The red bridge in the Japanese tea garden is quite photogenic; someone was staring blankly at the carp in the pavilion. The spiral staircase at the Deyang Museum made me dizzy; the view from the top floor was a sea of trees. People were throwing frisbees and playing ukuleles on the lawn, no one bothering anyone. An old man was playing the saxophone as I passed by; the tune drifted on the eucalyptus-scented wind. I spent ages looking for the exit; my legs got so thin.

Fisherman's Wharf

Fisherman's Wharf was bustling and a bit chaotic. Sea lions lay sprawled on wooden planks, howling, their fishy smell wafting from afar. Bowls of clam chowder were piping hot, served while street performers sipped. Crab stalls lined the streets, piles of red shells high; you'd crack open a claw and pop a crab into your mouth, your fingers smeared with butter. A rickshaw clanged past, tourists craning their necks to watch—nothing particularly special, just a lively, down-to-earth atmosphere.

Twin Peaks

The Twin Peaks were bustling with activity; the wind was so strong you could barely stand. San Francisco stretched out below, its houses piled high, huddled along the waterfront. An old man pointed into the distance, claiming it was his house, but you couldn't really see anything. Fog slowly seeped in from the sea, and the Golden Gate Bridge's spire disappeared in no time. After half an hour, my hands and feet were freezing, so I quickly jumped into the car. Looking back on the way down, the mountaintops were already shrouded in clouds.

Alcatraz Island

Really enjoyed visiting Alcatraz Island! The ferry ride over had great views of San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge. The self-guided cellhouse tour was very interesting, especially hearing the stories about the prison and its former inmates. The whole experience was well organized and definitely worth visiting if you’re in San Francisco. Highly recommended!

Palace of Fine Arts

The Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco resembles a forgotten Roman ruin. Domed columns stand on the lakeshore, the walls weathered and worn, and swans glide slowly across the water. Sitting on the steps, munching on a sandwich, pigeons stroll around your feet. Long shadows stretch as you pass through the arches, the afternoon sun illuminating the stone's texture with crystal clarity. It doesn't feel like a tourist attraction; it feels more like a place for nearby residents to stroll and daydream.

Golden Gate Bridge

The Golden Gate Bridge looked even better in the photos, a vibrant, bright red. Walking on the bridge, the wind was so strong my hat almost flew off, and the rumbling of cars made the bridge surface tremble slightly. Reaching the middle and looking back, the city appeared as a tiny patch, fog rolling in from the sea, the bridge towers appearing and disappearing in the mist. A cyclist next to me rang their bell to let me pass, and I realized I'd been standing there for quite a while.

San Francisco Bay

The San Francisco Bay Area is highly recommended for travel. Fisherman's Wharf, Lombard Street, the Palace of Fine Arts, and the Golden Gate Bridge are all bustling with tourists, but the surrounding towns are also beautiful and cozy. Sausalito, Oakland, Silicon Valley, San Jose, and other small towns are also charming and picturesque, with picturesque seaside scenery! They're definitely worth a visit!
