I want to visit Malacca again just for this hotel — traveler post in Pegoh

I want to visit Malacca again just for this hotel

~~~ Just got back from Malacca. Before the trip, I checked hotel reviews and came across the hotel where Fan Ye stayed in Malacca. I was instantly captivated by the resort’s Nanyang style! After staying three days, even my friends kept saying at checkout: Next time we come to Malacca, we have to stay here‼️ Here, on one side is the tranquility of a tropical oasis, and on the other is the rich Peranakan culture. You can enjoy Nanyang-style cuisine, and the outlet mall is just nearby—truly a “one-stop vacation” 🌴 🏨 PARKROYAL A’Famosa Melaka Resort ⛱️ Environment & Location The hotel is hidden in Malacca’s natural oasis. Right outside is the wildlife park, and it’s a 15-minute walk to the outlet mall. It perfectly combines “history, nature, family fun, and shopping”! Woken up by tropical birdsong in the morning, open the balcony door to a lush garden, and the golf course’s greenery is in full view nearby—vacation vibes maxed out 🌿 🏡 Exterior & Architecture As soon as you enter, you’re immersed in Baba-Nyonya style! The entire place features solid wood furniture and distinctive tiles, with every wall telling the story of Malacca’s heritage. The 213 rooms and suites are scattered throughout the garden. The public areas, including the pool and restaurants, exude a laid-back Nanyang feel, especially the poolside bar and pool area—every photo you take screams vacation mode. No wonder even Fan Ye chose to stay here when visiting Malacca 🧚‍♀️ 🛏️ Rooms & Facilities This time I stayed in the brand-new Junior Suite, which is very spacious. Modern decor mixed with Peranakan elements, with great attention to detail! You can also enjoy executive lounge privileges. The resort is equipped with a pool, kids’ pool, playground, and a 24-hour gym to meet the vacation needs of all ages 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 🍴 Dining Experience ▪️ Spice Brasserie: Even the buffet breakfast here is full of surprises! Order a cup of teh tarik, freshly made by staff right at your table with enthusiasm and care, making the experience truly memorable! Pair it with a stack of Peranakan specialty dim sum to start your day full of energy! Besides the buffet breakfast, they also offer a rich buffet and à la carte menu featuring abundant seafood and local Malaysian specialties. ▪️ Ya Yuen Chinese Restaurant: Serves classic Cantonese cuisine. If you crave Chinese food while abroad, this is a great choice. 🌳 Nearby Attractions: ▪️ Freeport A’Famosa Outlet Mall (15-minute walk) ▪️ A’Famosa Wildlife Park (8-minute drive) ▪️ A’Famosa Water Theme Park (10-minute drive) ❤️❤️❤️ A resort hotel that combines “celebrity style, cultural heritage, and comprehensive facilities” like this is truly worth staying at! Especially since it’s Fan Ye-approved for its looks, I sincerely recommend it to every sister visiting Malacca‼️
Malaysia | Colorful Nanyang style, fall in love with Malacca at first sight
Malacca is a name familiar to everyone, as the Strait of Malacca was mentioned in textbooks since childhood. As an important part of the cultural heritage of West Malaysia, Malacca has witnessed history and carries many stories and memories. Here, one can still see architectural styles from China, the Netherlands, Portugal, Britain, and Malaysia. Growing up on the old streets with arcades, the Nanyang style of Malacca is like an old dream, yet so vivid. · 【Travel Guide】 There are no direct flights from China to Malacca, but tickets can be purchased at the Kuala Lumpur bus terminal TBS (Terminal Bersepadu Selatan) or online (🔍redbus), costing about 11RM. · 【Historical City Tour】 Jonker Street→Strait Cultural Museum→Cheng Ho Cultural Museum→Dutch Square→Malacca River→St. Paul's Church→St. John's Fort→Sultanate Palace→Mosque on the Straits 1. Makeup and costume rental at RC Hotel Colour Nyonya House, 48RM for 3 hours including a set of clothes, headgear, and props. 2. Jonker Street is the local China Town, with plenty of food, drinks, and entertainment, where you can discover many Nanyang cultural features, such as temples and guild halls. 3. At the Strait Cultural Museum on Blacksmith Street, you can learn to make Nyonya cakes and experience the feelings of early Chinese immigrants in Nanyang. At the Cheng Ho Cultural Museum by the Malacca River, you can learn about the diplomatic stories of Zheng He's seven voyages to the Western Seas. 4. A Malacca River cruise experience costs 30RM for 45 minutes, where you can admire old warehouses and fish markets along the way. 5. The Dutch Square with its red buildings is a landmark of the old city of Malacca, now a museum, and you can climb up to St. Paul's Church. 6. Notably, there is a Coach Airways transformed from a Boeing 747, which also has a cafe space inside.
✨ My little experience staying at PARKROYAL A’Famosa Resort  — traveler post in Pegoh
✨ My little experience staying at PARKROYAL A’Famosa Resort 🤍 This was actually such a nice stay for our short family getaway and overall, we were really happy with our stay. 🥰 What I loved most was the convenient location. If you’re hungry or looking for somewhere to eat, it’s easy to get around because Freeport A’Famosa is nearby, with several food options to choose from. And if you’re visiting during durian season, you can even stop by one of the nearby durian stalls! 🍈😋 Breakfast at the hotel was pretty good too. There was a decent variety of food, which was more than enough to start our morning before heading out. Overall, I really enjoyed the stay because everything felt easy and convenient. We could simply relax, eat, explore and spend quality time together without having to plan everything too much. 🏨🌿 Personally, I think PARKROYAL A’Famosa is definitely worth considering if you’re planning a family staycation or a short getaway in A’Famosa. 🤍 #Tripcom #TripcomMY #PARKROYALAFAmosa #AFAmosa #MelakaStaycation #FamilyTrip #HotelExperience #StaycationMalaysia
Sunrise & A Hearty Breakfast Feast: The Ultimate Slow Morning at PARKROYAL Melaka  — traveler post in Pegoh
Sunrise & A Hearty Breakfast Feast: The Ultimate Slow Morning at PARKROYAL Melaka
#slowtraveling Waking up early during a staycation at PARKROYAL A'Famosa Melaka Resort is a deeply refreshing experience, especially if you enjoy starting your day at a slower pace. Stepping onto your private balcony as the crisp morning air hits you, you can watch a peaceful sunrise slowly illuminate the resort's lush tropical grounds. The beautiful landscaping right outside the rooms is also highly worth strolling through; they feature a wide variety of nature plants and local edibles. After welcoming the sun rise, and enjoying the nature stroll, we went to the club lounge to enjoy our breakfast.The lounge takes a "quality over quantity" approach. So rather than serving you with wide variety of food, the spread here is specially curated, premium, and impeccably executed. The bakery section features flaky, beautifully presented artisanal pastries that pair perfectly with fresh premium coffee. For local comfort, you can savor meticulously prepared traditional delicacies such as vibrant blue pea flower rice with spicy sambal. For those who are more health conscious, they feature excellent mindful selections, including a range of gluten free pastries and perfectly roasted baked sweet potatoes. Relaxing in the spacious, quiet lounge atmosphere while having the opportunity to enjoy the breakfast slowly really a recharging travel experience for me. #parkroyalafamosa #melakastaycation #cuticutimalaysia #tripmoment #hotelbreakfast
 Impressive RM85 Weekday Buffet at Spice Brasserie, PARKROYAL Melaka!  — traveler post in Pegoh
Impressive RM85 Weekday Buffet at Spice Brasserie, PARKROYAL Melaka!
We recently got lucky during our midday visit to Spice Brasserie inside the PARKROYAL A'Famosa Melaka Resort! They were running a weekday lunch buffet due to a large group booking—and it was an absolute steal.Priced at only RM85 per person, the variety of food was incredibly impressive for the budget-friendly price tag. The hot layout featured a great mix of savory delights, including a beautifully fragrant Nasi Briyani, tender stewed lamb, a comforting seafood stew, and perfectly seasoned baked pomfret with turmeric and a lot more. They also featured a dedicated vegetarian counter with 3 types of vegetarian dishes alongside fresh fried vegetables. The dessert counter was equally impressive! The absolute star of the sweet section was their delicious chocolate cream tart, which was rich, smooth, and perfectly executed. Combined with the serene resort atmosphere and friendly service, it made for a fantastic dining experience.This buffet also includes free-flow coffee and tea to pair with your desserts. Value Verdict: If you ever catch them running this buffet spread, it is an absolute WORTH IT! Finding a premium resort buffet with this level of variety and dessert quality at RM85 per head is a rare gem. #tripmoment #melakaeats #melakafood #melakatravel #parkroyalafamosa #hotelbuffet
Where Do I Splurge When I Travel? Definitely My Hotel!  — traveler post in Pegoh
Where Do I Splurge When I Travel? Definitely My Hotel!
If you ask me where I’m willing to spend more when travelling, my answer is a good hotel—without hesitation! 😂 During my recent trip to Melaka, I decided to treat myself to a 5-star stay at PARKROYAL A’Famosa Melaka, and I even chose a room with Club Lounge access. Why? Because I’m the type of traveller who really enjoys good food, comfortable surroundings and a little luxury. I love having access to the lounge for drinks, snacks and relaxing moments throughout the day. For me, that’s part of the travel experience, not just an extra. The resort itself was perfect for my kind of staycation—comfortable room, huge pool, good food and plenty of space to relax. And the location was convenient for me too, especially being close to A’Famosa Outlet for some branded shopping. 🛍️ So yes, I might save money elsewhere during a trip, but accommodation is where I happily splurge. Hostel or basic hotel? Honestly, that’s just not my travel style. 😂 My travel formula: good hotel + good food + good sleep = happy traveller! ✈️❤️
I came to PARKROYAL A’Famosa Melaka for a weekend getaway, and I honestly enjoyed the slower pace here. 🥞 Surprised À La Carte Menu at PARKROYAL Lounge, Definitely Worth It!
#worthitornot The best way to start your day at the PARKROYAL A'Famosa Melaka Resort is by heading straight to the private PARKROYAL Club Lounge on Level 1 for breakfast! Running from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM, it offers a welcome, quiet contrast to the busy main restaurant downstairs, allowing you to sip your morning brew in total peace while looking out at the resort's calm, lush greenery. While the beautifully curated continental buffet line is excellent—they even had various sushi at their buffet table. Not only that, we were incredibly surprised to find that they also offer a premium, made to order à la carte breakfast menu right inside the lounge! The menu variety is outstanding, and we went all out with our orders, thoroughly enjoying the grilled Atlantic salmon, a perfectly executed steak with eggs, and a beautifully presented poached egg with smashed avocado. They also serve our national dish, nasi lemak paired with rich coconut, tender beef rendang. Everything is cooked nicely, plated beautifully and delivered with highly attentive service. It is really worth the money for the upgrade to a room with lounge access. We thoroughly enjoyed every single bit of this luxury perk and cannot wait to return soon! #cuticutimalaysia #parkroyalafamosa #melakaresort #melakaeats #clublounge #breakfastspot #tripmoment
🗺️ Why PARKROYAL A'Famosa Melaka is the Ultimate Underrated Escape! 🌿✨ — traveler post in Pegoh
🗺️ Why PARKROYAL A'Famosa Melaka is the Ultimate Underrated Escape! 🌿✨
#underratedspots The PARKROYAL A'Famosa Melaka Resort is an incredibly underrated gem because it is tucked away in Alor Gajah, far from the chaotic weekend crowds of Jonker Street and the busy KL city center. By staying outside the main tourist hub, you completely bypass the infamous bumper-to-bumper Melaka traffic gridlock and get to unwind surrounded by lush green hills, golf course views, and open blue skies. It is a perfect place to sample a wide variety of traditional Malay delicacies alongside their local Baba Nyonya (Peranakan) food. The food here is absolutely excellent, packed with authentic, rich heritage flavors that in my personal opinion, better than most of the famous restaurants downtown. To complete the ultimate relaxation, you must visit Terra Spa for their top-tier spa and facial services. They are currently running an amazing promotion offering a 1-hour massage for only RM88, which is an absolute steal for 5-star resort luxury! Ultimately, if you want exceptional international hospitality, great facilities, and incredible food without the city noise, this resort is the perfect decision. We thoroughly enjoyed every bit of this luxury perk! #parkroyalafamosa #melakaresort #underratedspots #travelmalaysia #cuticutimalaysia #tripmoment
Melaka River Cruise
Taking the Melaka River Cruise is one of the most scenic and relaxing ways to explore the historic heart of the city. This 45-minute boat ride glides along the waterway that once served as a vital commercial artery for the spice trade. As you travel along the river, you will pass by a beautiful blend of old and new, including traditional Malay stilt houses in Kampung Morten, vibrant street art murals, and historic Dutch-era warehouses that have been converted into boutique cafes.The experience changes wonderfully depending on when you go. A daytime cruise offers a clear view of the colorful architecture and daily life along the riverbanks, while a sunset or night cruise transforms the journey into a magical, illuminated spectacle with the bridges and buildings lit up in brilliant colors. It is a fantastic, effortless way to take in the rich cultural tapestry of this UNESCO World Heritage city.
Masjid Selat Melaka
When visiting Malacca, one always wants to see the world-famous Straits of Malacca with their own eyes, to keep a promise to sail across the Straits. A special trip was made to the Floating Mosque, just to gaze upon this busy shipping lane. The sea was vast, and the sea breeze was strong. The architecture wasn't as stunning as expected, but the view of this strait was enough to leave a lasting impression. ✨
The Stadthuys
Holland Square in Malacca is a must-visit Instagrammable spot. The striking red colonial buildings stand out against the blue sky and white clouds, making for great photo opportunities. It's conveniently located on foot, not far from Jonker Street. The square itself isn't large; half an hour is enough to stroll around and take pictures. It's very popular with tourists. Nearby are fountains and an old church, offering a chance to soak up the historical atmosphere.
Dutch Square (Red Square) Melaka
It's so different than all the other part of the city!You get the feeling that you are in a movie set, as the square is way different than anything you have seen in Malaysia. Enjoy it in the day, but in the night also as everything is open, night market arround the corner and split in 2 parts, one it's indian and on the other side is chinees
Church of Saint Paul, Malacca
St. Paul's Hill is located in the heart of the Malacca Old Town World Heritage Site, near the Dutch Stadthuys and the Santiago Gate. It was once an important high ground of the Sultanate, and Emperor Yongle of the Ming Dynasty designated it as the "National Mountain." The hill is not high; a short walk of about ten minutes up the steps leads to the summit. The view from the top is excellent, overlooking Malacca city, the Malacca River, and the Straits, making it a popular spot for sunset photography. Several small museums and the remains of a Dutch cemetery are also located nearby. At the top is St. Paul's Church (Gereja St. Paul), originally built by the Portuguese in 1521 as a church for Our Lady. In 1548, it was handed over to the Jesuits, where St. Francis Xavier preached. His body was temporarily buried here in 1553. After the Dutch occupation in 1641, it was renamed St. Paul's Church, later used as a cemetery and fortress; bullet holes are still visible in the outer walls. It is now a magnificent, roofless stone ruin. There is a white statue of Xavier in front of the church (missing his right hand); inside are scattered ancient tombstones inscribed with Portuguese/Latin; admission is free, and opening hours are the same as in the old town; the building itself is one of the oldest European colonial relics in Southeast Asia.
