Sheyang is a coastal city, boasting everything a seaside town has to offer—delicious food, fun activities, and surprisingly, intangible cultural heritage acrobatic performances, a large children's playground, and a wealth of New Year's activities. There's something for everyone, young and old. 🗺️ 3 Days 2 Nights Itinerary Recommendation Day 1: Andersen Fairy Tale Park → Sheyang Acrobatic Art Center (Check acrobatic performance schedules beforehand). I recommend staying near Wuyue Plaza for easy walking access to the attractions. Jiangsu-Zhejiang-Shanghai Family Trip | Not at Shanghai Disneyland — traveler post in Sheyang

Jiangsu-Zhejiang-Shanghai Family Trip | Not at Shanghai Disneyland

During the National Day holiday, I took the kids back to their grandparents' 👨🏻‍🦳, and on the way back, we stopped by this amusement park, which is not in Disneyland, but in the Andersen Fairy Tale Park in Sheyang, filled with fairy tale charm, the kids loved it so much. The whole park is quite large, with many fun attractions, but during the National Day, there really were a lot of people, and the queues for popular attractions started at half an hour, we only went on the Flying Elephant, which is suitable for young children! The park is divided into four areas: The Little Match Girl's Ice and Snow Area, The Emperor's New Clothes Castle Area, The Ugly Duckling's Dreamland Area, and The Thumbelina Jungle Area. Attractions: Drop tower, rafting, carousel, bumper cars, Flying Elephant, Frog Jump, roller coaster 'not open during the National Day holiday', trampolines, etc., with both thrilling and non-thrilling options to choose from. There are also many cute animals to see in the Pet Pavilion! The castle area's night light show is also very beautiful, and there was a fireworks show during the National Day holiday, we went during the day, so unfortunately, we missed it! 🏰: Andersen Fairy Tale Park 🧭: Opposite to Yancheng Sheyang Fitness Center, Jiangsu 🎫: Family ticket for one adult and one child 115

11 Reverse Tourism: Budget Travel to Less Popular Cities — traveler post in Sheyang

11 Reverse Tourism: Budget Travel to Less Popular Cities

Travel Guide to Linhai, Yancheng, Fuzhou, and Jixi These four cities are located in Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Jiangxi, and Anhui provinces, each with its own distinct character: Linhai is an ancient city with Song Dynasty charm at the foot of the "Great Wall of Jiangnan"; Yancheng is an ecological city where wetlands, deer, and sea salt culture intertwine; Fuzhou is the hometown of Tang Xianzu, known as the "Hometown of Talented Scholars"; and Jixi is a hidden gem of Huizhou culture. Below is a summary of key activities and practical information for each city. I. Linhai (Taizhou, Zhejiang) Keywords: Great Wall of Jiangnan, Ziyang Ancient Street, Nuojiji Snacks Core Attractions The Taizhou City Wall, certified by National Geographic as the "Great Wall of Jiangnan," is an important blueprint for the Ming Dynasty Great Wall in the north. Recommended Route: Lansheng Gate → Baiyun Tower → Yanxia Pavilion → Chaotian Gate → Wangjiang Gate → Xingshan Gate, approximately 2 hours in total. The section between the No. 3 and No. 2 watchtowers features the "most beautiful S-curve" of the entire city wall. The city wall can be climbed for free from Xingshan Gate before 7:00 AM and after 6:00 PM daily. Ziyang Street is an ancient street that still retains the lifestyle of the original inhabitants; the further you walk in, the more authentic it becomes. Along the main street, you can connect Longxing Temple, the Zhu Ziqing Memorial Hall, the former site of the People's Bank, Taizhou Confucian Temple, and the Drum Tower. Longxing Temple was first built in the Tang Dynasty, and its Thousand Buddha Brick Pagoda is one of the few remaining Yuan Dynasty pagodas in Zhejiang, with exquisite brick carvings. Donghu Park is the location where Zhu Ziqing described "viewing the willows and water from the waterside pavilion." The Nine-Bend Bridge and the pavilion in the middle of the lake form a typical Jiangnan garden landscape. Linghu Lake is a "green energy field" for Linhai residents; you can rent a bike to cycle around the lake, perfect for a slower pace. Suggested Itinerary: 2 days 1 night. Day 1: Ancient City Tour (Xingshan Gate → Longxing Temple → Ziyang Street → Donghu Lake); Day 2: Great Wall Climb (City God Temple to the city wall → Wangtiantai → Yanxia Pavilion → Chaotian Gate → West Street). The city wall is best viewed from the City God Temple and descended through Xingshan Gate, as the entire route is downhill and easier. Food Recommendations Linhai is famous for its "glutinous rice balls." Egg white sheep's tail is a signature dessert, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, sweet but not cloying, and was once served at Emperor Qianlong's Thousand Elders Banquet. Other local specialties include seaweed cakes (best eaten fresh out of the oven), black rice cakes, plum blossom cakes, wheat shrimp, wheat cakes, and fermented rice soup. Baitaqiao Hotel's signature dishes include egg white sheep's tail, chilled eight-treasure rice, and seasonal seafood; Wanjun Xiaochu's three-delicacy wheat shrimp and fried rice cakes are also worth trying. Best Season: April-May and September-November, with pleasant weather. Avoid the typhoon season from June to September. II. Yancheng (Jiangsu) Keywords: Wetland deer, sea salt culture, Yancheng water town Core Attractions The China Sea Salt Museum is the only sea salt-themed exhibition hall in the country. Learn about Yancheng's thousand-year history of "being born from salt" starting here. The New Fourth Army Memorial Hall and Yancheng City Museum are options to choose from, or you can visit both, depending on your interests. The Dayangwan Ecological Tourism Area is suitable for an afternoon stroll. In the evening, head to Yanzhen Water Street to see the riverside buildings and night views. The Water Street is better visited at night; the atmosphere is relatively ordinary during the day. The China Milu Deer Park is the core attraction of Dafeng. The park is quite large, and you can combine sightseeing with a tour bus tour of the deer's activity area and wetland landscape. Milu deer are wild animals, and whether you can see them up close depends on the season and weather. Do not feed or chase the animals during your visit. Suggested Itinerary: 2 days and 1 night. A "city + Dafeng" route is recommended. Don't try to cram Tiaozini, Red-crowned Cranes, Milu Deer Park, and Yellow Sea Forest Park all into one itinerary. Go to Dafeng to see Milu deer, Sheyang to see red-crowned cranes, and Tiaozini to see migratory birds on the mudflats. Choose only one highlight for each two days. Food Recommendations Yancheng's "Eight Bowls" is a national intangible cultural heritage dish praised by CCTV, including eight classic dishes such as braised pork belly, chicken wrapped in chicken, braised glutinous rice balls, steamed cake, and radish stewed with mussels. Dongtai fish soup noodles have a history of over 200 years; the soup is thick like milk, fresh but not greasy, and won a medal at the Panama International Exposition. Jianhu lotus root starch balls, Wuyou drunken snails, and Funing rice cakes are also local specialties. Drunken snails are a type of pickled seafood; those with sensitive stomachs should not eat too much at once. Best Season: April-May for tulip viewing in the Dutch-style flower fields; October to February of the following year for observing red-crowned cranes and migratory birds. Yancheng's scenic spots are scattered along the coastline; driving is the most convenient option. Those not driving should confirm direct shuttle bus routes to the scenic areas in advance. III. Fuzhou (Jiangxi) Keywords: Hometown of Talented Scholars, Tang Xianzu, Linchuan Beef Offal Core Attractions Fuzhou, formerly known as Linchuan, is the hometown of Tang Xianzu, Wang Anshi, and Zeng Gong, boasting a rich cultural heritage. Wenchangli Historical and Cultural District is the birthplace of Tang Xianzu. The ancient streets from the Ming and Qing dynasties hold many surprises, and there's a live performance of "The Peony Pavilion" in the evening. Both the Tang Xianzu Memorial Hall and the Wang Anshi Memorial Hall are free to enter (entry by ID card), and the two are not far apart. Zhengjue Ancient Temple, originally built in the Tang Dynasty, remains full of Zen spirit despite reconstruction. No entrance fee, and it's less crowded and less-visited. St. Joseph's Catholic Church is tucked away in the ancient streets, a great spot for taking photos. If time permits, you can extend your trip to Le'an Liukeng Ancient Village (a thousand-year-old village) or Zixi Dajue Mountain Scenic Area (cable car ride through the sea of clouds, visit the thousand-year-old Dajue Temple, entrance fee + sightseeing bus + rafting package approximately 260 yuan). Suggested Itinerary: A suggested one-day city tour route: Zhengjue Ancient Temple → Wenchangli → St. Joseph's Catholic Church → Yulong Wanshou Palace → Niyantai → Tang Xianzu Memorial Hall → Wang Anshi Memorial Hall → Fuzhou Museum → Sanweng Park. If you have a 3-day itinerary, you can add Liukeng Ancient Village or Dajue Mountain. Food Recommendations Linchuan Beef Offal is the most representative food of Fuzhou. It was awarded the title of "China's Famous Snack" in 2018, and its preparation technique was listed as a provincial intangible cultural heritage in 2021. Luojia Lane in Shangdun Ferry Town, Linchuan District, is a famous "Beef Offal Street." The beef offal is fresh and spicy, and pairing it with a bowl of rice noodles is a classic Linchuan way of eating. Other specialties include Nanfeng Clear Soup (thin-skinned wontons), Linchuan Beef Tripe, and Le'an Fermented Fish. Best Season: March-May and September-November are the top choices. Spring offers fields of rapeseed flowers, and autumn's clear skies are perfect for visiting ancient buildings and academies. In summer, you can go rafting at Dajue Mountain to escape the heat. IV. Jixi (Xuancheng, Anhui) Keywords: Huihang Ancient Road, Longchuan Ancient Village, Hu Shi's One-Pot Dish Core Attractions Longchuan Scenic Area is a thousand-year-old village shaped like a ship. It produced famous figures such as Hu Zongxian and Hu Xueyan. The wood carvings in the Hu Clan Ancestral Hall are hailed as a "museum of wood carving art." Longchuan Water Street offers a glimpse into the idyllic Huizhou landscape with its bridges, flowing water, and traditional houses. Entrance fee: approximately 75 yuan. The Huihang Ancient Road is a classic route for hiking enthusiasts. It runs from Fuling Town in Jixi to Yonglai Village, a total of about 18 kilometers, requiring 6-7 hours. It passes through key points such as the First Pass of Jiangnan, Shicha Pavilion, and Lantian'ao (the highest point). If your physical condition is average, you can just hike the essential section from the First Pass of Jiangnan (about 2-3 hours). Entrance fee: approximately 58 yuan. Zhangshan Grand Canyon is known for its clear pools and unique rocks. Entrance fee: approximately 49 yuan. The streamside trail is about 2.5 kilometers one way and is a great place for water activities in summer. Meiganling Viewpoint is free. In the early morning or after rain, you can see the terraced fields and villages with white walls and black tiles shrouded in mist, like a living ink painting. Renli Ancient Town differs from the commercialized Longchuan; it's a free and "living" ancient village. Its maze-like "Eighteen Lanes" and the quiet lives of elderly people make it perfect for a leisurely stroll. Suggested Itinerary: 3 days 2 nights. Day 1: Meiganling Viewpoint → Zhangshan Grand Canyon; Day 2: Huihang Ancient Trail Hiking; Day 3: Longchuan Scenic Area → Renli Ancient Town. If you only have 2 days, you can simplify it to Day 1: Ancient Village Cultural Tour (Jixi Museum → Longchuan → Renli), Day 2: The best section of the Huihang Ancient Trail. Food Recommendations: Jixi is known as the "Hometown of Anhui Cuisine". Hu Shi's One-Pot Stew is a famous dish from Jixi, where layers of ingredients are stewed together. The bottom layer consists of shredded radish, bamboo shoots, and other vegetables; the middle layer is filled with pork belly, tofu buns, quail eggs, and meatballs; and the top layer is egg dumplings and pieces of free-range chicken. Slow-cooked over low heat, every bite is infused with the aromas of meat, beans, and vegetables. Stinky Mandarin Fish is a representative of Anhui cuisine's "smells bad, tastes good" characteristic; the fish meat is shaped like garlic cloves and melts in your mouth. Jixi Tart Cake is most classic with a preserved vegetable filling; the outer skin is golden and crispy, making a satisfying "crunch" with every bite. Other local specialties include Jixi Fried Vermicelli, Braised Vermicelli, and Water-filled Buns. Intercity Travel Suggestions The four cities are located in Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Jiangxi, and Anhui provinces, and can be connected by high-speed rail. There is a direct high-speed train from Yancheng to Linhai (such as G7472, approximately 5 hours and 42 minutes), and there are also trains from Linhai to Yancheng (approximately 5 hours and 5 minutes). Fuzhou and Jixi are connected by the Xuancheng-Jixi High-Speed Railway, with the fastest journey from Xuancheng to Jixi North Station taking only 39 minutes. If planning to visit all four cities in one trip, a suggested route is: Linhai → Yancheng → Fuzhou → Jixi (or vice versa), allocating 2-3 days to each city, for a total trip of approximately 10-12 days. If time is limited, you can choose based on seasonal preference: in spring, prioritize Linhai + Jixi (spring flowers in the ancient city and rapeseed flowers in Huizhou); in autumn and winter, prioritize Yancheng (migratory birds) + Fuzhou (autumn colors and ancient architecture). The best travel windows for all four cities are spring (March-May) and autumn (September-November), when the weather is comfortable and each city offers its seasonal scenery, making it the most suitable time to visit them in a combined trip. Parking for non-motorized vehicles at the park entrance is limited; do not park indiscriminately. 📅 Itinerary (1-day trip, recommended duration 4–5 hours) 📅 Enter the park in the morning and head straight to the landmark Mermaid Castle. You can take a quick tour inside the castle. Prioritize rides with shorter lines. Take your time strolling through the Thumbelina Garden; the giant mushroom installations are very whimsical. 📅 Have lunch nearby and take a short break. In the afternoon, finish the remaining rides, explore the Emperor's New Clothes Square, and try the interactive installations. Wait until the evening when the light is soft for photos. If there's an evening session, stay to enjoy the castle lights for a fully immersive atmosphere. 📅 Tips: Popular rides have long lines on weekends, so try to visit them during off-peak times. Bring a change of clothes for kids, as some rides involve water. Manage your energy wisely; don't try to do everything at once. 📸 Best photo spots: The stairs behind Mermaid Castle (avoid crowds to get a full view of the castle), the flower maze in Thumbelina Garden, the fun statues at the Emperor's New Clothes Square, and the main carousel when it lights up in the evening. Wearing light-colored clothing makes for better photos. 🍲 Food 🍲 For a nearby option, choose Muxian Worldless Cuisine on the park's commercial street. They have a rich menu with fried chicken and steak, which is great for kids. The restaurant has an elegant environment, perfect for dining after your visit. 🍲 If you want a warm soup base, choose Junyan Yunnan Wild Mushroom Hot Pot. The mushroom and chicken soup base is light and delicious, suitable for all ages. It's very comforting to drink a bowl of hot soup after a long day. 🍲 Tips: The commercial street gets crowded during meal times, so try to eat during off-peak hours. Snacks inside the park are relatively expensive, so you might want to bring some light snacks and bottled water. If traveling with kids, try to avoid overly spicy or oily dishes. ✨ Summary: Andersen Wonderland is perfect for families and young people who love a fairytale atmosphere and want to take photos or relax. The park's rides are gentle and family-oriented, without any overly thrilling large equipment, balancing fun and photo opportunities. The one-day trip pace is manageable. Staying at a nearby hotel within walking distance allows for an all-in-one experience of eating and playing without the hassle of traveling back and forth, letting you fully immerse yourself in the fairytale atmosphere.

Just back from Yancheng. I really don't recommend going in September–October because it's just...

Just back from Yancheng. I really don't recommend going in September–October 😅 because it's just... —The days still feel like a muggy late summer, while the morning and evening sea breezes hit you like a sudden change of season. The red-crowned cranes haven't returned south in large numbers yet, and the migratory birds on the mudflats are in an "awkward transition." You think you're coming to photograph "a thousand cranes taking flight + red mudflats + galloping milu deer," but the reality is that in September the reeds have barely turned yellow, and by October, once the crowds arrive, the scenic shuttle bus schedules are even more unpredictable than the migratory birds. Dafeng, Sheyang, and Dongtai are each 1 hour+ apart by car. You'll come back with mud on your shoes, your face sandblasted by the sea wind, and after failing to catch the milu deer, you'll be discouraged by the price of the sightseeing bus tickets. You'll be filled with regret, thinking, "Why didn't I just wait until November to see the wintering cranes, or April to see the tulips?" (Of course, the Dongtai fish soup noodles, clam cakes, Dazong Lake hairy crabs, Funing cakes, and sea salt dishes are truly delicious, but if you aren't prepared for the "scattered attractions + sea wind temperature differences + cranes not yet in peak season + tidal viewing at Tiaozini + don't skip the sightseeing bus at the Milu Deer Park" five-fold challenge, coming to Yancheng in September–October is just paying for the performance of the shuttle bus drivers and scenic electric cart operators.) 💸 A "wetland ordeal" for your body and wallet 1. The awkward transition between summer and autumn: Yancheng's average start of autumn is around September 25. September highs still hit 28–30°C, while lows drop to 17–20°C—it's like experiencing two seasons in one day. October is comfortable, but the wind by the sea is strong. Stand at Tiaozini for half an hour, and your hat will fly off, your camera lens will fog up, and your lips will get chapped. 2. The red-crowned cranes aren't at their peak: The Sheyang Red-crowned Crane Wetland is best for wintering from November–March of the following year. In September–October, you might see a few or some flight training, but the "thousand cranes taking flight" spectacle requires colder weather. Many people are lured by autumn photos on social media, only to end up shooting "empty reeds + a few distant cranes." 3. Attractions are so scattered it makes you question your life choices: The red-crowned cranes are in Sheyang, the Milu Deer Park is in Dafeng, Tiaozini is in Dongtai, and the Yellow Sea Forest is on the border of Dongtai/Dafeng. They are all 1 hour+ apart by car. Relying solely on public transport/taxis means spending half your day on the road, and the shuttle buses are infrequent and weather-dependent. 4. Tickets aren't interchangeable, and don't skip the shuttle: Red-crowned crane tickets are about CNY 37, Milu Deer Park is CNY 45–50, Yellow Sea Forest is CNY 50, and Tiaozini requires a free reservation but is far away. The Milu Deer Park is huge; the sightseeing bus is CNY 15—don't skip it, or you'll be walking until your legs give out in the mudflats. 5. The mudflat trap is the "tide": If the tide isn't out at Tiaozini, it's just a patch of gray mud. Only at low tide do you get the "tidal trees + mirror of the sky." If you go without checking the tide table, you'll just be blowing in the cold wind for nothing. If you don't bring clam-digging tools/non-slip shoes, you'll end up slipping and falling on your butt. 🦌 A 3-day, 2-night "Yellow Sea Wetland Ordeal" reference itinerary (must-read if you're stubborn) Day 1: City center + red-crowned cranes · Waiting for a flight show that might not happen (CNY 150 per person) · Morning: Arrive at Yancheng Station. Sea Salt Museum + Salt Town Water Street (free, the night view at the water street is more worth it than the day). · Noon: Dongtai fish soup noodles + clam cakes + Funing cakes in the city center (CNY 30 per person, don't buy "sea salt creative milk tea" on the main scenic street). · Afternoon: Take a taxi/shuttle bus to the Red-crowned Crane Wetland Ecological Tourism Area (ticket CNY 37). Watch for the 10:30 AM flight show, and another at 3:30 PM. There are few cranes in September–October, so don't get your hopes up too high. · Evening: The wind at Xinyang Port is strong, so keep a thin windbreaker on. · Stay: Yancheng city center/tinghu CNY 120–220. Don't stay in Dafeng on the first day, or you'll go crazy running in two different directions the next day. Day 2: Dafeng milu deer + Yellow Sea Forest (CNY 200 per person) · Before 8:00 AM: Depart for Dafeng Milu Deer Park (CNY 45–50 + sightseeing bus CNY 15). Take the bus into the free-range area to see the "four-unlike" deer. Bringing your own sliced carrots to feed them works better. The deer king competition was in September, and while the herd is okay in October, they aren't as cute as the fawns in summer. · Noon: Eat seafood stir-fry + rice cakes + fish soup noodles in Dafeng (CNY 50 per person). · Afternoon: Yellow Sea National Forest Park (CNY 50). The metasequoia trees aren't fully golden in September–October, and the pink muhly grass only goes crazy from late September–mid-November. Take the forest train, and don't get baked dry at noon. · Evening: Stay in Dafeng/Dongtai. Don't go back to Yancheng city center, as going to Tiaozini the next day will save you 1 hour. Day 3: Catching the tide at Tiaozini + return trip (CNY 120 per person) · Check the tide table! Arrive 1.5 hours before low tide → Tiaozini (free reservation): Tidal trees, mudflat sunset, 720-meter high bird-watching platform. Migratory birds are passing through in September–October, but the spoon-billed sandpipers/red-crowned cranes are more reliable after November. · Noon: Jianggang/Dongtai to eat steamed eggs with clams + swimming crabs + small yellow croaker (CNY 70 per person, ask if it's priced by weight or by piece first). · Afternoon: Dutch Flower Park (lilies/sulfur cosmos are okay in September–October, but the tulips in April are legendary) → Buy Funing cakes/sea salt souvenirs/Dongtai tangerine peel wine for the return trip (buy at the supermarket, don't buy the "World Heritage Gift Box" at the mudflat entrance). ⚠️ Hard-learned lessons (exclusive to September–October) 1. Don't be misled by the "wetland autumn is legendary" talk: Yancheng's two true peaks are April (Dutch Flower Park tulips) and November–March (red-crowned crane wintering + golden-red metasequoia). September–October is a "transitional beauty," not the most spectacular. 2. Don't do three locations in one day: Don't try to cram Sheyang/Dafeng/Dongtai into one day. Driving yourself at CNY 150–200/day is the best way. If there are two or more people, chartering/renting a car is better than relying on the shuttle bus. 3. Don't stubbornly wait for a thousand cranes to take flight in September: The 10:30 AM/3:30 PM flight training is worth watching, but the large wintering flocks won't arrive until after November. 4. Tiaozini without checking the tide is a wasted trip: Low tide reveals the scenery, high tide turns it into mud. Download a tide table app on your phone before you set off. 5. The wind by the sea is harsher than in the city: Bring a hat with a strap, lens cleaning cloth, lip balm, and a thin down jacket/windbreaker—don't skimp on these. 6. Don't skip the Milu Deer Park sightseeing bus: The park is large and the mud roads are soft. Saving CNY 15 on the sightseeing bus means walking an extra 5 kilometers on saline-alkali land. 7. Ask for seafood prices first: Quotes along the coast in Dongtai/Dafeng are vague. "Local crabs priced by the piece, processing fees charged separately" is standard practice. Old shops in residential areas are more reliable. 8. Don't treat Yancheng as a "compact little city": It's a slow-paced wetland route—cranes, deer, mudflats, metasequoia, fish soup noodles. If you want "city center nightlife + dense influencer spots," you'll come back empty-handed. This autumn, it's not that Yancheng isn't good; it's just in its "half-ripe season." September is still hot, and the cranes haven't arrived. October, the crowds have left, but the migratory birds aren't at full capacity. If you really want to photograph the gods of the eastern wetlands, the best bet is November for the red-crowned cranes + golden-red metasequoia trees, or April for the flower fields + active milu deer. Blindly rushing in September–October is like paying for the shuttle bus just to experience a five-fold ordeal of "half-yellow reeds + few crane sightings + face-cutting sea wind + rushing between three locations." 🦌🌾

Sheyang sea-catching | Seeing the golden sunset made it all worth it

Weekend "special forces" mode activated! Went to Sheyang for a wedding this time, and took the kid along to try sea-catching. The seaside on a summer evening has warm water, and we even encountered a stunning golden sunset🌅. Watching the kids run freely under the setting sun was so healing! Compared to the Fisherman's Wharf in Fengxian, it's much easier to dig up clams and small crabs here. Some people even caught tons of swimming crabs with casting nets! Transportation: 2.5-hour high-speed train from Shanghai Hongqiao to Sheyang Station, then take a taxi straight to the beach. Location: Sheyang County Seaside Station (Haibin Yizhan). Keep driving straight after passing the station. Cost: Free🆓. Gear🧾: Bucket, shovel, rain boots (there's a lot of mud when you first get in), and keep water in the car to rinse your feet. Tips: Be sure to check the tide times in advance~

Red-Crowned Crane Wetland Ecological Tourism Area

The Red-crowned Crane Park is quite far from the city center. There were many tourists, but because it's so large, it didn't feel crowded. I went outside the red-crowned crane migration season, so I didn't see the spectacular sight of flocks of cranes flying overhead, but there were still performances by artificially bred red-crowned cranes to watch. While not as entertaining, the wetland scenery was truly breathtaking, a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, making it a place I wanted to linger in. I would definitely come back again if I had the chance.

The automatic book lending and returning machine is especially convenient—just put the book on it and you're good to go. There's also a book sterilization machine nearby, which is both worry-free and reassuring…

Niushou Mountain Cultural Tourism Zone

We went with our child, but because there was so much walking, our child wanted to leave after visiting two places and didn't want to play anymore. It felt like a purely artificial scenic area, and we didn't find it very fun. The Qinhuai River night cruise later on was much more enjoyable for our child.

Slender West Lake

A trip to Yangzhou's Slender West Lake is a must! 🍃 Stepping into the garden is like entering a flowing ink painting. The lake water is clear and winding, willows sway gently, the iconic Five Pavilion Bridge floats on the emerald waves, and the White Pagoda stands quietly. Every scenic spot reveals the ingenuity of the ancients. You can stroll slowly along the long causeway or take a boat trip on the lake. The breeze blowing across the lake carries the fragrance of grass and trees. The park is large, and a leisurely stroll is very therapeutic. There are places to rest, as well as a children's playground. It's suitable for taking photos or simply enjoying the scenery. The gentle elegance of Jiangnan is fully experienced here. ✨ A small suggestion: After entering the park, take a boat trip first, then visit the main attractions. It's best to enter and exit in one go to avoid backtracking. Otherwise, the large park will take a long time to explore.
