Wake up early to wander the beaches, or stroll along the coast for sunrise photos nobody else on your feed will have. If you’re into incredibly fresh seafood, Susami town is famous for its local catches—head to a neighborhood seaside restaurant for juicy sashimi or a simple fish rice bowl. Lots of places here source straight from the local fishermen; you can taste the difference. Travel Tip: The area is best accessed by local train—look up JR Susami Station for the easiest route, then just a brief taxi or bus to your hotel.
