Found a satisfying hotel in Wuwei—this place really nails the details

I stayed at the Jin Century International Hotel during my trip to Wuwei, and I truly feel I made the right choice. The entire stay was incredibly comfortable! The check-in experience was great. The front desk staff were professional, efficient, and quick, while also being warm and polite. It made for a very comfortable first impression. The hotel lobby is elegant and grand. The most eye-catching feature is a massive traditional Chinese painting titled "A Bright Future," which is beautifully executed and carries a wonderful meaning. The elephant sculpture nearby is also significant. I looked it up, and the symbolism is fantastic: in ancient times, "peaceful times have elephants" (a play on words for "auspicious") represents good fortune, peace, and smooth sailing. In Feng Shui, an elephant's trunk drawing water symbolizes gathering wealth and blessings. Combined with the elephant's steady and sturdy form, it symbolizes career stability, success in all endeavors, and meeting helpful people. The painting paired with the auspicious elephant creates a sense of completeness, making me feel very at ease during my stay. The hotel's amenities are very complete, so there's no need to worry about any inconvenience. There's a gym and swimming pool on the fifth floor for relaxing during downtime, and a self-service laundry room on the sixth floor, which is super convenient for both short and long-term stays. I booked a 68-square-meter deluxe suite, and the space is huge! The living room, bedroom, and bathroom are separate, creating an open layout that doesn't feel cramped at all. The entire room features a smart control system; the lights and curtains are fully automated, turning on when you arrive and off when you leave. It's incredibly smart and hassle-free. The bathroom features a dry/wet separation design and includes a bathtub, perfect for relaxing after a tiring journey. What impressed me most was the cleanliness! The bath towels, robes, bath mats, and slippers in the room were all sanitized, clean, and tidy, making me feel very secure and at ease. I have to highlight their breakfast—it's full of authentic local Wuwei flavors! I loved the authentic Wuwei small pancakes; they were crispy, fragrant, and delicious. The tofu pudding comes in both sweet and savory versions to satisfy different tastes. The open kitchen serves made-to-order dishes like duck blood vermicelli soup, noodles, and small wontons, all very fresh. I highly recommend the Wuwei chicken soup rice noodles; the broth is clear, savory, and not greasy. Having a hot bowl in the morning is truly healing. Overall, the environment, service, facilities, and breakfast were all on point. It offers great value and a fantastic experience. If you're coming to Wuwei, definitely book this place!

📍Attention all hiking enthusiasts! Wuhu (三公山) | "Xiao Wu Gong Shan" of Anhui ⛰️☁️ — traveler post in Wuwei

📍Attention all hiking enthusiasts! Wuhu (三公山) | "Xiao Wu Gong Shan" of Anhui ⛰️☁️

Youth is priceless, but the courage to climb Mount Sankong is! This trip, I'm challenging myself by hiking Mount Sankong, also known as "Xiaowugong Mountain," in Anhui Province. ⛰️🌿 The hike up and around the trail takes about 2 hours. At the beginning, I thought to myself… "It's just a small mountain, it should be an easy climb, not tiring at all." 🥹 But the reality along the way… 🥾 Before starting: "This mountain is easy! I'll conquer it today without any problems." 🥵 Midway up: "My legs are getting tired, my back is aching. I want to sit down and rest every 5 minutes. All I can think is…" “Is it still possible to go back down now…?” 😂 ☁️ Upon reaching the summit: Okay…I surrender! The view of the sea of clouds and the green mountains in front of me was truly worth the exhaustion. All the fatigue along the way seemed to vanish like the wind on the mountaintop. Looking at the view, I felt that I didn't regret deciding to climb up here at all. 🌿🤍 🎓 Notes from a physically frail student: Before: Thought I was a seasoned hiker. During the hike: Wanted to lie down by the side of the road. At the summit: So proud of myself. During the descent: Unlocked “electric legs” mode. Walking on my own felt like I had a vibration system. 😂🦵 📌 Summary of this trip: ⛰️ Location: Cuhu Sangong Mountain 📍 Coordinates: Cuhu, Anhui Province 🥾 Hiking duration: Approximately 2 hours ☁️ Highlight: Mountain and sea of clouds views from the mountaintop Youth is priceless, so be brave and set off! You only get one chance to be young, so if you want to go, try traveling at least once. But before you climb the mountain, don't forget to prepare water, suitable walking shoes, and assess your physical condition. 🤍 #TravelChina #NatureDestinations #TravelPlan #China #NatureTherapy #SecretSpots #china

Locals cherish it as a natural oxygen bar, free from commercial amusement facilities, relying solely on its pristine natural landscape. It is known as the "low-key Wugong Mountain of Central Anhui." With big trees, green fields, and streams all around, it’s perfect for a weekend escape from the city—bring your kids to explore the forest and meadows and spend a leisurely day immersed in nature. Wuwei section: Equipped with trails, railings, and scenic sculptures, artificially developed and well-maintained. Zongyang section: Mostly in its original state, with little artificial modification. 🌅The sunset views on clear days are truly amazing! Just climb to the summit! The fastest route takes about half an hour! Many people also camp overnight to watch the sunrise! 🎫Tickets: Completely free, no entrance fee. 🚗Transportation: Best suited for self-driving; use navigation keywords [Zhuxi Li Homestay / Mingxin Temple]. 👗What to wear: Cool at the foot of the mountain, large temperature difference at the summit, bring a light jacket; wear non-slip casual shoes.

Liqiao Water Town

This time, I chose a 6-day, 5-night itinerary to visit Jiuzhaigou, Huanglong, Emei Mountain, Leshan, Dujiangyan, and the Panda Base in one trip, saving me the trouble of planning the route myself. The lakes in Jiuzhaigou have rich and varied colors, and the travertine pools in Huanglong are very unique. The scenery is truly impressive.

Yongquan Town

Yongquan Town and Jiubao Hot Spring are my favorite places. They offer healing for both body and mind, with natural hot springs. In autumn, soaking in the pools and watching the maple leaves fall onto the water washes away all your fatigue.

West Lake

My second visit to West Lake was great; the boat tour was excellent. The dock was easy to find, the staff were very friendly, provided clear explanations, and helped with any issues. There were also sightseeing buses, which were nice but a bit pricey. Taking the boat tour and then walking around was both perfectly fine.

Mount Huangshan Scenic Area

Huangshan is beautiful, but the scenic area management is really lacking. The South Gate is incredibly crowded and chaotic in the morning, and the directions on the app are unclear. The scenery is beautiful! Everything inside the scenic area is expensive.

Wangxian Valley

Visual Impact: The most breathtaking moment is around 6:30 PM when the lights come on, illuminating the entire village on the cliffside one by one, contrasting sharply with the darkening sky. It can be described as a "real-life celestial palace" or "a fairyland descending to earth." - Illumination Atmosphere: The scenic area deliberately uses warm yellow lighting, avoiding glaring neon effects and creating a warm, relaxing, and enchanting atmosphere, like home. This light, reflected in the stream, resembles "a galaxy falling into the canyon." - Day and Night Contrast: Many tourists feel the daytime scenery is relatively ordinary, while the nighttime illumination transforms it into a completely different world. Reviews can emphasize this stark contrast—"feeling a waste during the day, but worth it at night"—highlighting the core value of the night view.

Wuyuan Huangling Scenic Area

1. The autumn drying scene is highly recognizable; the rooftop drying racks are an ancient local custom, displaying vibrant colors on sunny days and making for excellent aerial shots. The misty scenery along Huaxi Water Street is ethereal and perfect for portrait photography. 2. The ancient buildings are well-preserved, featuring Hui-style horse-head walls, ancestral halls, and old alleys, along with the Leixin Bridge and terraced field viewing platforms, creating a rich and layered landscape.

Lingyin Feilai Peak Scenic Area

At the summit, there's just a rock and a flat area, nothing special. On the other side, there's a temple to the God of Wealth with 1399 steps. You need to be very sincere to reach the top. Below are various Buddhist halls and temples, as well as some stone carvings of Buddha statues. The scenery is pleasant, with mountains, water, and forests.

Humble Administrator's Garden

A relaxing garden with rich history behind. However, you need to get a tour guide and explain to you. Or else you are just walking without any history background.
