Woyun Temple

Woyun Temple is located on the golden roof of Emei Mountain in Emei Mountain, Leshan City, Sichuan Province, just on the edge of Huazang Temple. Because the temple is often surrounded by clouds and mist, it is called Woyun Temple. The roof of its buildings is silver and white.

Mount Emei, the Woyun Temple is in the Emei Mountain Scenic Area. There are many temples in the entire Emei Mountain. This temple is very interesting and very quiet. I worship Buddha here. It is good to ask for peace.

Woyun Temple is the only ancient building monastery at the highest peak of Mount Emei, with an altitude of about 3064 meters. It was built during the Ming Jiajing years. It is surrounded by white clouds under the rock and the temple is in the cloud, so it is called "Woyun Temple". At the end of the Ming Dynasty, the building was decayed, and Qing Kangxi was rebuilt in two years. When the roof was covered with tin tiles, every time the clouds opened the sunrise, the silver light was shining, and there was an eyebrow called "silver top". The fire broke out several times and rebuilt several times. The existing building was repaired in 1953. After 1989, the temple monks were repaired several times, the Buddha statue was rebuilt, the mountain gate and the temple were restored, and the Emeishan Buddhist Association was repaired again in 2005.
