The Fucheng City Site is a large-scale ancient city site by the Qinghai Lake. The site is slightly square, with a length of 220 meters from east to west and a width of 200 meters from north to south. The city wall is 12 meters high and 17 meters wide. It is basically well preserved. There is a city gate with a width of 10 meters on the southern city wall. The city starts from the city gate and has a central axis to the west. On both sides of the central axis, there are two rows of raised houses with a length of 50 meters and a width of 35 meters. There is a small square city in the west of the city, 70 meters long from east to west, 68 meters wide from north to south, and the city gate faces east. Between Xiaofang City and the southern city wall, there is an earthen platform 15 meters long and 9 meters high, with the ruins of houses on the platform. There are streets in the city. The outer circumference of the ancient city used to have a rectangular outline, but now there is only the outer outline of the southern wall, which is about 1,400 meters long, and its height is only uplifted from the surface. The other three sides were washed away by the river and destroyed. According to legend, Fucheng City was built by Fulianchou, the king of Tuyuhun in the Northern Wei Dynasty, with a history of more than 1,500 years. At that time, the Northern Wei Dynasty named Fu Lianchou as the general of the expedition to the west, the founding prince of Xihai County, and built a city here. In 540 AD, the son of Fu Lianchou, Kua Lu, established a feudal kingdom in Qinghai history, the Tuyuhun Kingdom, and made Fucheng the capital. There is such a record in the history books: "Kwa Luli, who was called Khan from the beginning, lived in Fucheng City. Thirteen miles west of Qinghai, although there was a fortress, it did not live there." , which is of great significance to the study of the cultural connection between the Tuyuhun and the Han nationality in the Central Plains and the history of the Tuyuhun.
