Photos of Hakone Venetian Glass Museum (Glass Forest)

The Glass Forest Art Museum in Kanagawa Prefecture is located in the rolling hills of Hakone. The main building resembles a European medieval villa, like a fairy tale world. There are art galleries, shops and cafés in this vast garden. The gallery houses about 100 works from Venice and modern Venice from the 15th to the 19th centuries. In addition, many valuable works such as cobalt blue goblets handed down by the Rothschild family are on display. Its amazing is the fireworks tree Fontana fountain, the fireworks tree shining in the sun, the sparkling trees, springs, waterfalls are all made of glass balls one by one, the whole art museum looks very delicate and beautiful. The open-air café overlooks a courtyard reminiscent of medieval Venice, where authentic Canzona instrumental works are played live. There is also a workshop where you can experience glass craftsmanship.
