Photos of Su-Hua Highway

The Suhua Highway was opened to traffic in May 1932 and was named Linhai Road. It was renamed Suhua Highway after the war. The starting point in the north is Suao Town, Yilan County, and the end point in the south is Hualien City, Hualien County. The total length of the Linhai Road is 118 kilometers. It is built along the coastline. Occasionally meanders into flat estuarine deltas. Along the way, you can see the Pacific Ocean view and cliffs and mountains, and it is a world-renowned scenic highway. Along the Suhua Highway, you can see the cliffs with sea view, the scenery along the way is beautiful, and there are many scenic spots. The more famous one is Qingshui Cliff. The Qingshui Mountain on the top of the cliff is 2407 meters above sea level. In addition, there is Guanyin Pavilion. In September 1984, a huge Guanyin stone fell and 2.5 meters into the ground. One Bodhisattva, one Guanyin Pavilion and one lotus pond were built.
