Off-the-beaten-path guide to Lanta Island, Thailand | You won't want to leave!
Day1 Phi Phi Island → Lanta Island (Last picture)
I took the last speedboat, half an hour, it was windy and wavy that day, I felt very dizzy, I suggest you take the one at around eleven in the morning, the price is also the most affordable, I heard that there is a 10 island fee, but I didn't see anyone collecting it when I got off the boat.
Took a double-bar car to the hotel, one hundred (you can call the hotel in advance, many offer free pick-up)
The hotel I stayed at was a four-star resort, booked in advance for over a hundred, the price on the day of check-in rose to over five hundred, everything was good, there is a private beach behind the hotel, not many people, the scenery is quite good. The roadside shops are very unique, all guarded by cats.
Day2 Lanta Island
Rent a small motorcycle for one hundred and two near the hotel, follow the navigation towards Lanta Old Town, saw many oil shops along the way, bottled, generally forty-one a bottle, two bottles are enough to go around.
Not many people in Lanta Old Town, it's very comfortable to stroll around the small shops, forty-one cups of mango
Ice, sitting by the sea and daydreaming is very comfortable.
Ride towards the National Forest, the road is uphill all the way, occasionally you can see monkeys and monitor lizards on the side of the road
After a section of mountain road is the coastline, the sea is gradient, no tourists
Walk and stop along the way, walk to an unknown hillside, pass a deserted pavilion, the scenery is excellent (pictures ④⑤)
Eat near the hotel, it's a restaurant that has everything, the taste is very good, ate there for two days, the boss is very enthusiastic, knowing that we are Chinese, he output all the Chinese he knew, before leaving he humbly asked how to say: (Is it delicious?) and (Have a good time!) in Chinese, really too friendly
It started to rain heavily in the afternoon of the first day, it rained all night, the original plan was to go to Rok Island the next day, but because the weather forecast was always rain, so decided to go around the island in the morning of the second day, and go to Krabi in the afternoon. Asked the hotel before going out in the morning, there was no boat, only carpooling, four hundred and fifty. One person to Krabi (here to remind everyone, decide the itinerary must book in advance) I returned to the hotel at about one and a half, asked the hotel front desk to book a car, they asked around, the car was full.
Because I had already booked a hotel in Krabi, I thought I had to go to Krabi, 100 by taxi to the pier to try my luck (there are many travel agencies outside the pier) asked around and all the cars were full, finally chartered a car with a little sister for one thousand per person, she went to Krabi airport, I went to Ao Nang Beach nearby...
There was a big traffic jam when leaving Lanta, because there was a section of waterway, the car had to get on a boat to the other side to continue, it was raining all the way, it was already dark when I arrived in Krabi, I suggest everyone to be cautious when traveling alone, pay attention to safety.
If you have plenty of time, I suggest you check the weather, stay in Lanta for two or three days, it's closer to Rok Island from here, the island has good scenery, not many people, very leisurely~
Good atmosphere, beautiful, suitable for relaxation. The sunset is very beautiful. In the evening, it is very nice to sit.
Koh Lanta District Krabi Province, clear sky, beautiful sea, white sand beach at Koh Lanta, Krabi Province
Koh Lanta is beautiful, relaxing, very quiet. It's really nice to visit and take pictures here.
Lanta Island is my most anticipated journey in Jiami. Here we live in the south of Lanta with blue sky, white clouds, stretching coastline, fine sand and blue sea water. The sand bed on this side is very thin and stretches to the sea. Walking in it, we can't get a foothold and enjoy it at all. Lanta Island is a slow-living island. There are too many Europeans and Americans on vacation. The Island smells of laziness. You can lie on the beach for a whole day with a bottle of laziness. You can also play in the beach and sea. All in all, it's beautiful! This side of the blue sea and blue sky is incomparable to the Onan Beach, where there is no bustling Long Beach Island, but more is a quiet enjoyment, at night in the curling stars and lights, walking along the coastline, listening to the waves wantonly beat, let people forget all the troubles. In short, you will fall in love with this island!
Great place where you can stay away from the mundane noise of hotels mostly facing the sea and build out to go to the quiet and beautiful beach sunset and stars there is no luxury aspiration, where you can really relax with all your heart and soul and do not need to think about anything.
Living in lantapuraresort, in the northernmost part of Lanta Island, the night market of Lanta Island pedestrian street and wharf are very convenient for transportation. Hotel staff are very enthusiastic whether they want to snorkel, rent a car or kill chickens with Thai horses. They all laugh and help you get it right away. resort is connected to the beach and has a very cheap seascape room. The beach here is really beautiful like a private beach. There are few people in the off season.
Lanta Island is relatively quiet, there is a thunderstorm when I go, and the Rok Island I want to go to is still closed for three nights. Day1: 2:50-5:20 Guangzhou ~ Krabi's plane, 45 minutes after the customs clearance was caused by the crowding of Chinese compatriots at Krabi Airport. It was 8:30 in the morning to board the mini vans that had booked the pick-up and arrived at the Shuanglian Hotel on Lanta Island. The hotel can check in after 10:30. A group of five people went to the hotel restaurant to eat breakfast to kill time. Check in on time at 10:30, go to the pier for lunch at noon after resting and rectifying, and rent a car to travel around the island in the afternoon. Day2: The weather is still a bit bad. I went to the car rental office and booked a 4-island tour. The proprietress promised to cancel the 4-island tour's sea trip and refund it in full if the weather is still raining tomorrow. Driving to the National Park of Lanta, there are many monkeys leisurely on the road along the way, the beach on the other side of the national park is very beautiful, board the lighthouse overlooking the Andaman Sea, and stroll around the ancient city in the evening. Day3: Going to the sea for 4 islands, the weather is clear, but fortunately, I wear a snorkeling suit with long sleeves and long pants, otherwise I will peel off like my husband. Day4: Rent a half-day bicycle in the morning to visit the hotel, then check out for lunch, take the booked car to Krabi Airport and transfer to the next destination ~ Chiang Mai.
Compared to Ao Nang, it is much quieter, the off-season wind and waves are too big, and it rains almost every day. The water flow on the 4th island is too fast, not clear enough, and the ROK island is not open. It is recommended to avoid the rainy season if you like to see fish and corals. Hotel prices are cost-effective. Traveling around the island can rent a car and drive by yourself. Many restaurants by the sea are suitable for leisure and enjoy the sunset for dinner.
