Liverpool has become the southwest fortress of the United Kingdom because of its geographical location by the sea, so everything about the city will always have an inseparable relationship with the sea. The Merseyside Maritime Museum is a window through which you can see the stories between Liverpool and the sea, from the past to the present, and even about its future. The museum opened in 1980 and underwent an expansion in 1986. The rich maritime exhibitions in the museum all reflect that Liverpool has always been an important international trading port and an important gateway to the world.
