Photos of Turtle Peak Mountain

Located about thirty kilometers east of Macheng County, Turtle Peak Mountain is comprised of nine peaks and is shaped like a giant turtle raising its head and tail. Its main peak is called Mazhuang. Turtle Peak Mountain is a beautiful and magnificent tourist mecca, with unique rocks and ancient trees everywhere. It is a famous scenic spot in Eastern Hubei. There are more than thirty places of interest in the scenic area including Nengren Temple, Huazhu Temple and Niangniang Tomb. There is a rich cultural history in the Turtle Peak Mountain area. The First Emperor of Tang Dynasty Li Shimin and the master literati Cao Cao both visited the area.
