Photos of Meiling National Scenic Area

Meiling National Scenic Area is located in the bay to the northwest of Nanchang City. Originally called Feihong Mountain, this is where Meifu practiced Daoism in the Western Han Period; thus, it was renamed to Meiling. The area is quite large and close in proximity to both Poyang Lake and Lushan. The facilities offer a wide range of activities, including Xiyao Lake on Luohanling, the main peak of the Meiling Mountains, making it a great place to beat the summer heat. Before the peak lie hundreds of Buddhist and Daoist temples, among them Tianning Ancient Temple and Ziyang Palace, both of which are sure to make a memorable visit.
