Qingdao Railway Station

Qingdao Station was built in 1900 and was built in the autumn of 1901. Since its completion, it has undergone two expansions in 1991 and 2007, and has retained the architectural style of the bell tower. After the expansion and transformation in 2007, the three-story building design has made it the largest underground waiting room in the country. Qingdao New Passenger Station, which is a supporting project of the Beijing Olympic Games, officially opened operation on August 1, 2008. Qingdao Station is the starting point of the Jiaojike special line and an important node of the eight-heng and eight-long-high-speed railway network. Qingdao Station is marked by Gothic clock towers. The overall building such as the clock tower, the mountain flowers and the arches are all European style. The main roof of the building is designed with three skylights in the form of local slopes. The top of the clock tower is placed with four large clocks. The east, west and south three-sided station rooms are U-shaped layout. It is the only European-style station on the road.
