Route 1 Review

Route 1 is a must-go road to Iceland, basically grass-based along the way, the scenery is not special, but it is very interesting to see such a vibrant sight at the north end of the earth.

Both sides of Highway 1 are relatively deserted, and it is still a bit different from what we imagined. And Highway 1 is not wide, and there are fewer cars coming and going. We took the tour group car to take this road.

Unlike in China, there are rest spots, restaurants, toilets and even accommodation on the road. The roadside can't be stopped generally, and must be stopped at temporary parking places. When Leishi was opened, there were more central turntables, and then they went straight. The scenic spots along the road will be a certain distance, mostly not very far. There is no charge on the road, and there is no charge for parking in scenic spots. You can buy food and free toilets in towns along the way. But we still have enough food and drink in Leishi's supermarket. Salmon, sausage, bread, bubble water and so on.

Driving out of Highway 1, everybody likes it very much. The tour guide just stopped on the road. She said it was your trip. The road divides the sky into two halves, half colorful and half silent. It s my trip and also your trip.

Almost all the journeys in Iceland are completed around Highway 1. This 360-degree circular road surrounds Iceland. There are no traffic lights and almost no vehicles to follow. Sometimes, I run alone in the endless sky and earth, maybe with many seconds of illusion, as if I were on a lonely alien planet. Walking along Highway 1, sometimes I don't feel like I'm on a lonely planet. Icelandic horses, the purest breed of horses in the world, have short legs, elegant hair, and they are both gentle and friendly. But once they are taken abroad, they can never return home.
