This yard is the seat of the local ethnic autonomous regime established by Du Wenxiu, the leader of the Yunnan Hui Muslim uprising during the Xianfeng and Tongzhi years in the Qing Dynasty. Du Wenxiu (1827-1872) is Yunhuan, a man from Jinji Village, Yongchangfuzhi (now Baoshan City), Yunnan Province, who is familiar with Islamic classics. Daoguang 25 years (1845) Yongchang Han landlord group practice "Xiangshihui" colluded with the official government to kill the Hui people, Du Yuguang 27 years (1847) on behalf of the Hui people to Beijing to sue, no results. Xianfeng six years (1856) Lin'an (now Jianshui County) Han squire usurped the Hui people's silver mine, burned the Hui people's villages, Yunnan patrol secretly ordered all places to "group to kill", stirring up the Hui people everywhere. Du in Menghua (now Lushan) united the people of Han, Yuan, Bai and other ethnic groups in the uprising, captured Dali, established a government, and was pushed as "President Terracotta Warriors and Horses Grand Marshal". In 1869, Du Wenxiu's army turned into a loss. In 1872, Du Wenxiu died in Dali City after taking poison and committing suicide. In August of the Qingxianfeng six years (1856), Du Wenxiu rebels captured the ancient city of Dali, and promoted Du Wenxiu as "President Terracotta Warriors and Horses", established the Dali regime, changed the original Dali Admiral's Mansion to the Shuai Mansion, and built a new earth city around it, known as the Forbidden City. The gate of the Shuaifu Mansion, part of the Forbidden City, the gate of the Shuaifu Inner Hall, the Baihu Hall and the two sides of the van and other buildings are still in existence. After the defeat of the uprising, Governor Yungui Yuying has rebuilt the Shuai Mansion. After the maintenance in 1988, it was opened as the Dali City Museum.
