It was a famous Russian musical theater of the late 19th century, with Tchaikovsky, Mossorgsky and Rimsky-Korsakov Many of his works premiered here. Today, the Mariinsky Theatre is home to the Mariinsky Ballet, the Mariinsky Opera and the Mariinsky Symphony Orchestra.
