The San Francisco Pier is located in the middle of the curved tourist route of Chinatown, Fisherman's Wharf and the Golden Gate Bridge. The area in front of the pier is used as an open-air bar, where people who are tired from shopping can rest here. There are chairs on the promenade outside the pier for people to rest while admiring the Bay Bridge (although not as famous as the Golden Gate Bridge, but it is also spectacular) and the opposite Alcatraz Island.
