The Museum of History and Industry is located in the History Museum in Seattle's South Lake Union neighborhood. MOHAI is Washington State's largest private heritage organization with a collection of nearly 4 million artifacts, photographs and archival materials, primarily in the Seattle and PugetSound areas. The museum galleries display the park's historic Naval Reserve Armory, a 1919 Boeing B-1; and the Rainier Brewing Company's 12-foot-tall neon "R". In addition to these exhibits, MOHAI manages many public programs and regularly hosts public events with other community organizations, especially those in the South Lake Union. MOHAI is accredited by the American Alliance of Museums and is a Smithsonian chapter museum.
