Photos of Shennongjia

Shennongjia covers an enormous area which includes multiple towns and forests as well as the tourism areas of Shennong Peak, Tianyan (“heavenly swallow”), Xiangxiyuan River, and Yuquan River, of which Shennong Peak is the most famous. The Shennongjia Forestry District contains expansive virgin forest full of towering trees and lush vegetation, creating nature's own fresh oxygen. At Shennong Peak, you can climb onto of the “roof of central China” and see cute but rare golden snub-nosed monkeys. According to legend, this is where the ape-like “Shennongjia wild man” roams.
