The former site of the 129th Division Headquarters is located in Chi'an Village on the west side of Shexian County, Handan City. In 1940, the Eighth Route Army's 129th Division advanced into the Taihang Mountains and established the Shanxi-Hebei-Luyu Base Area. The hillside in the center of Chi'an Village was once the seat of the 129th Division Headquarters. . The scenic spot of the former headquarters is now divided into three parts: the headquarters, the General's Ridge and the 129th Division Exhibition Hall. The headquarters is composed of three adjacent farmhouse courtyards built on the mountain, and now the three farmhouses are all laid out as they were when they were commanded. The lower house is the place where the headquarters works, the main room of the north house is the conference room, the west house is the office, the east house is the guard room, and the south house is the office. The lilac and redbud trees in the courtyard are very beautiful. The middle courtyard is the residence and office, and the south house is the former residence of the chief. The East House is a two-story building, and there is also an air-raid shelter in the southeast corner of the courtyard. The showroom of the 129th Division is the upper house. It used to be the location of the war room. Now it displays pictures, sand tables, sculptures and many cultural relics of the year, recording the period from the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War to the victory of the Anti-Japanese War in 1945. The older generation of revolutionaries led the soldiers of the 129th Division. The bloody Taihang revolutionary deeds reproduce the glorious history of the 129th Division in the Taihang Mountains. On the back of the General Mountain is the cemetery of the revolutionary martyrs. There are statues and monuments of the generals in the cemetery, and a memorial pavilion for the marshals has been built, where you can come to pay homage to the revolutionary predecessors.
