The Cabbage District is a block formed by Irish immigrants gathering here since 1840. After construction and development, it has now become a characteristic historic district in Toronto. There are many restaurants, cafes, bars and shops on both sides of the street. Victorian-style old brick houses are a feature here, and celebrities such as Avril Lavigne and boxer Larry Gains have lived here.
