Photos of Weinan Drum Tower

The Weinan Drum Tower is located in the Jinjun Division in the old city of Weinan. The Weinan Drum Tower was built in the ninth year of Daye in the Sui Dynasty (AD 613), and was rebuilt and maintained during the Ming and Qing dynasties. After liberation, the Weinan Drum Tower was refurbished, and the unearthed cultural relics of Weinan are displayed in the building. The Drum Tower is a city gate heavy building with a double eaves Xieshan style glazed tile roof, surrounded by courtyard columns, and three pavilions on the upper floor. There is a doorway 5 zhang long from the north to the south under the brick platform, with "Weinan County" on the forehead, two inscribed with "Three-Qin Road, Eight Provinces Passage", and the word "Guzhan" is engraved on the back of the doorway.
