I recommend a lesser-known scenic spot around Jinan—Zhujia Valley
Zhujia Valley, located in Zhangqiu District, is about a 1.5-hour drive from the city center. It is a 4A-level tourist attraction and is the only 'Chinese Historical and Cultural Village' in Shandong Province.
At the same time, Zhujia Valley is also a famous 'red education base', where children can be taken to learn and feel the history of that era...
Because it is a lesser-known spot, it has not been overdeveloped, and to this day, it still retains a relatively complete collection of ancient bridges, ancient paths, ancient ancestral halls, ancient temples, and ancient houses from the Ming and Qing dynasties.
Passing through the main entrance, the first gate you go through is the Li Gate.
Further ahead is the Chuang Guandong Culture Museum, which displays the hardships experienced during the era of venturing into the northeast.
Wenchang Pavilion: Built in 1838, the 18th year of the Daoguang Emperor, it is dedicated to Wenchang Dijun, commonly known as Wenquxing, who is the patron of literature and officialdom.
Passing through the archway of Wenchang Pavilion, you will see two steles. These two steles are inscribed with the names of those who donated to the construction of Wenchang Pavilion and Shanyin Primary School. During the Cultural Revolution, they were used for paving roads, which is why the inscriptions are now almost invisible, and they are now known as 'blank steles'.
Next to it is Shanyin Primary School, which, as the name suggests, is located on the north side of the mountain. Built in the 33rd year of the Republic of China, the school gate is modeled after the Whampoa Military Academy, and after entering, the archway is the school song of Shanyin Primary School. Now, each classroom is an exhibition hall.
Huangshi Cave: A cave where Zhu Liangyu, the progenitor of Zhujia Valley, once lived after moving to Zhujia Valley. It is called Huangshi Cave because the stones are yellow.
Zhu Family Ancestral Hall: Built in the 8th year of the Guangxu Emperor, 1882, and rebuilt in the 26th year of the Republic of China, the ancestral hall is divided into front and back courtyards, with the portrait of the progenitor Zhu Liangyu enshrined in the main hall.
Zhu's North Building: A loft where the young ladies used to live, well preserved.
Jinshi Residence: Built during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, Jinshi Zhu Fengyin was a private school teacher at that time. After he passed the imperial examination, he coincided with his mother's death and had to observe filial piety for three years, so he did not take up an official post in the city. During those three years, he was not idle and ran a private school here, taking in two students, one was Liu Yuanliang, the editor-in-chief of the Hanlin Academy, and the other was Liu Zhongdu, the general of Fengtian, both of whom were very famous, one in literature and the other in martial arts, hence this family is known as 'one family with three Jinshi'.
Women's School: Built in the 21st year of the Republic of China, by the enlightened individual Zhu Liandi.
Further ahead is the Kangxi Overpass, also known as Kangxi Double Bridge, which was established during the Kangxi Emperor's reign and is hailed as the prototype of the world's overpass.
Above the bridge is the former residence of Zhu Kaimountain, the filming location for the TV series 'Venturing into the Northeast'. It is also the film and television base of Zhujia Valley. Many TV series such as 'Heading South', 'Relying on the Mountain', 'Honor', and the well-known TV series 'The Old Peasant' were filmed here. During the filming of 'The Old Peasant', this place was the home of Niu Dabold.
I went to Jinan, and I passed Zhu Jiazhao on the way home and went in to check in. It is an ancient village. The humanistic history of the village is good. 👍 The old house of Zhu Kaishan is in the village.
I went before the Spring Festival. It was a good place. There is a recommendation to go to see Zhu Kaishan's hometown. There are also lanterns decorated very beautifully, and the elderly and children are happy. There are also Zhangqiu specialty green onions to buy, and it is also a good choice to go home to send friends and relatives.
Mainly bring the baby to experience the cultural atmosphere, the buildings are all ancient buildings, Zhujia Courtyard and Zhu Kaishan's old residence, and the academic institution of the people to experience how difficult it was to take the people in that era, and the previous primary school classrooms, children also experienced how good the current learning environment is. It's quite educational.
Happy New Year, full of flavor
I went there many times, and it was the same simple every time I went. There is really no fun to go in winter, there are few people, and the mountains are very cold, and there are very few people selling things. I saw a big bun selling Internet celebrities. As a result, I didn't order food and didn't sell it alone. I went out for more than an hour.
The ancient village is ancient and the folk customs are simple.
The natural landscape of the scenic spot is good, the Guandong Cultural Museum is very good, with a rich historical imprint, it is worth visiting and learning.
