It is the site of the Toba Rikyu of Emperor Shirakawa, where the battle between Toba and Fushimi began. I visited after visiting Jonangu. There was only a stone monument and a signboard with explanations, and the rest was the same as a general park.

The area around Jonangu is the place where Toba Rikyu was built by Emperor Shirakawa in the late Heian period. It is where Emperor Shirakawa, Toba, and Goshirakawa carried out cloistered government for three generations. A part of the site is maintained as a historic park.
