Lame Valley Cathedral Catedral de Lamego (41.096530, -7.806899) Lame Valley Cathedral is a Renaissance church, but retains a Gothic-style bell tower, built by the first king of Portugal in 1129, and later added a dozen more cloisters and Renaissance-style arches in the 16th to 18th centuries. The three arches of the main entrance and the exquisite and complex three-dimensional reliefs are the most eye-catching places. The huge square bell tower on the right side of the front of the church has been maintained in the early 12th century.
