in a small park called nikagemon genchi.
Original Text
I was walking west on Chuo-dori, which runs through the government office district of Morioka City. After passing the Iwate Prefectural Public Hall, passing the famous cherry blossom tree called Ishiwari Sakura, there was a small park called "Nikagemon Enchi". This Hikagemon Enchi was where Meigi-do was located, a stone pagoda was built, and there was also an explanation board. This Meigi-do is said to be a clan school that Takashi Hara, who became Japan's first commoner minister, also learned.
A small space like a park. However, the explanation board said "Nikagemon Outer Alley", and when I read it, I was touched on Meigido. Meigido is a clan school of the southern clan. It also taught bunbu and doctors, and it became the soil to send many talented people from the end of the Edo period to the Meiji period.
There is a stone monument in a small park near Ishiwari Sakura. It is the site of a clan school, but there was nothing, but there were signs with explanations about the neighborhood. I think it's just right to stop by while taking a walk nearby.
It is located on Chuo-dori, the venue of the Sansa Festival in the central area of Morioka. Although there are buildings around, the remains of the clan school were like a small park only here.
It is on the way from the prefectural office to Morioka Station on Chuo-dori. It is a small park with stone monuments built inside. It seems that Meigido, a clan school of the Nanbu clan, was built. It's a good place to stop by.
