East Cliff Bell Tower

This mountain pavilion is beautifully shaped, double-layered six-sided and twelve-corner, located at the top of the East Cliff, one of the famous humanistic buildings in the East Cliff Temple, also known as the "Silent Bell Pavilion", because the Tibetan king Bodhisattva is the supervisor of the underworld in Buddhist legend.

Also known as the "Pleasant Bell Pavilion", located next to the mountain gate of Dongya Temple, the volume is not large, the heavy weight is steep, the shape is beautiful, there are many famous people left on the mountain pavilion, the amount and the couplet, the history and humanistic value is very high.

The East Cliff Bell Tower is also called the Secluded Bell Pavilion. It is located next to the Yachan Temple in Jiuhua Shandong. It is actually a pavilion, but the inscription above is very beautiful. But it is a pity that the pavilion and Dongya Temple here are all later repaired. There is no historical reservation.

The most surprising thing about this trip to Jiuhua Mountain is the Dongya Temple. I saw the beautiful Jiuhua Mountain and the sea of clouds here. To go to Dongya Temple, you need to climb the Feihong Bridge, and then the Dongya Bell Tower and Dongya Temple.

Located on the northwest side of Dongya Temple. Built in the Qing Dynasty, it was restored according to its original appearance in 1982. The pavilion is 10 meters high, with brick and wooden structure, two floors up and down. The building area is 20 square meters. The pavilion has a built-in ten thousand pounds of hidden clocks, which was cast during the Qing Dynasty. It took two months to transport from the mountain to Dongya. Jiuhua Mountain is the Tibetan king's field of "sleep and underworld master", so the quiet clock shows the characteristics of Foshan, which is of great significance: First, it shows that the world's bells are constantly ringing; second, it is a wake-up call to the world to do good deeds; third, it is a good luck to hear the bells. There is a saying that "the bells of Dongya are ringing, and the sound of the ninety-nine peaks". After opening to the outside world, the Jiuhuashan Foxie restored the system of the hidden clock, and two monks took turns to hit the clock day and night, and it was constantly year round. Now it is fashionable to hit the clock, and visitors and pilgrims are required to wait in line. Overseas Chinese people listen to the sound of the hidden bells through mobile phones and program-controlled phones, praying for blessings, wealth and peace. In 1999, Mr. Chen, an overseas Chinese from Singapore, made a big phone call to the bell pavilion on a sea ship to the United States and asked him to hit the 108-square-foot clock; Three days later, Mr. Chen called again and said that the sound of the day before yesterday had been heard. This time, the safety arrived, the business was smooth, and the next time I returned to China, I must go to Jiuhuashan to thank the master. Overseas Chinese living in the United States, the United Kingdom, Malaysia, Canada and other places often call the bell booth before the plane or at sea, asking the master to hit the ghost bell for them. Mr. Chen, chairman of Shenzhen Real Estate Development Company, had a stomach opener. He listened to the sound of Jiuhuashan 108-Sleep Bell on his mobile phone and phone before the operation was anesthetized. The operation was successful. Is the Sleep Bell really so spiritual? This actually has a certain scientific reason. Folk cloud: "Wear the bell, worry light, wisdom long, Bodhi birth." Wear the bell, happy mood, everything goes well. There is a famous link in front of the bell pavilion: "800 bells hit the dream, 5,000 words of wisdom can be broken Zen machine." Heng batch is "Dharma boundless." Times have changed, people's ideas have changed, now visitors do not care about the meaning of the link, but are enthusiastic about exploring the ancients here, watching the scenery, crashing the clock and listening to the clock is both faith and fun. Although the bell pavilion is small, the bells cross the sea and become the gospel in the hearts of countless believers.
