This is a well managed wetland/waterbird area, most of which has been rebuilt to enhance habitat for wildlife (especially birds). There are trails and boardwalks. Our birdwatching tour visited the birds in February 2020. We have a great view of a wide variety of birds. The list of over 50 species includes introduced California lizards, Great Gribs, Pique ground pigeons, feather fans, snow crowns and elegant terns, red-brown-tailed Plants, c-like ush birds and tyrant despots. Particularly interesting is Willet, perhaps the first record of the eastern Chilean variety. It's a "Don't miss" site.
