Shika Snow Mountain

I have been to this place 4 years ago as a solo traveller, and would love to go back once travel restrictions are eased.

Shika Snow Mountain is located 7 kilometers southwest of Shangri-La. The snow mountain is connected to the Napahai Nature Reserve in the north, and the Qianhu Mountain Scenic Area, the world natural heritage of "three rivers" in the south. The east is facing Songzanlin Temple and Dukezong Ancient City. The west is the mysterious canyon and the endless Jinsha River. It covers an area of about 65 square kilometers. Due to the highlands, the landform is complex and the natural conditions affect it, traveling to Shangri-La is very important for the choice of season. ​​​

I accidentally found this attraction next to the Naohai Grassland. This year, the drought in Yunnan was great. When I arrived, I knew that the grassland was dry and yellow. I chose Shika Snow Mountain, 140 round trip, and the one-way cable car felt that it was more than 30 minutes worth of value. Very few tourists are tourists chartered cable cars, really not many tourists. It is divided into 2 sections. The Internet recommends that the snow mountain top look at the 8 Shenshan Mountains. It is really super beautiful, and the oxygen content on it is rich. Don't be scared by the altitude. The grassland in the middle is too beautiful, okay? The altitude is high. It is much more beautiful than Napa Sea. The grassland is super large. It feels like 5 hours of complete play. I took a little bit of the grassland in a hurry.

It's from Dali Newspaper Corps. It's very high altitude and cold on the mountain. The tour guide said that many people would have altitude reaction, so we bought Hongjingtian and oxygen cylinder. But I didn't respond, and then my husband took the oxygen bottle as a game and sucked it up all the time... It takes more than an hour to get to the mountain by two ropeways. It's freezing in the mountains, but it's a long journey, just to see the vast snowy mountains at your feet and other scenery. I'm surprised that Yunnan is really different for various geographical reasons, but the journey is too far away.

I went there on May 8, 2016. Tickets are much cheaper to get from local people. Not as big as I imagined, the deepest memory is that the ropeway is very slow, going up for nearly 40 minutes, the first rope down directly. The locals told me that if I came here in July and August, it would be called Blue Moon Valley, because there was no snow, but the cableway was full of azaleas, tens of thousands of mu, especially beautiful. When I came, it was a bit snowy, and it was not as cold as I thought. 4400 meters. Make sure you bring some Yoomei, chocolate, and supplement your strength. The hypoxia is not very serious. The scenery was beautiful and not all of it was finished. It lasted about three hours.

Looking at the sunny weather in the morning, I phoned the customer service of the scenic spot at 10 o'clock to ask if the ropeway was fully open, and then I temporarily decided to go, because yesterday it snowed and the ropeway was not fully open. Drop by drop from the city, buy tickets online and take the ropeway directly to the top of the mountain. Although there are no flowers in full bloom in winter, the snowscape can make a person's eyes full of happiness, and it's a worthwhile trip. Here you can see three God mountains in Aden, Daocheng (Xiannairi, Yang Maiyong, Shanodouji). You can also see Yulong Snow Mountain, Haba Snow Mountain, and Meri Snow Mountain around the pavement. The snow on the top of the mountain is very thick. People who have not seen snow scatter flowers and play: roll, play and have fun in it. It was a humbling experience to travel this place solo, especially for a woman like me. The place is also safe.

[View] The weather in Shangri-La these days is average, cloudy and rainy, plus the plateau weather is really changeable, so I don't see the beautiful sky and the important snow mountain scenery. But I think I like the scenery along the ropeway very much. There are purple pine nuts, the first time I saw it. And I saw the water vapor quickly forming a cloud, and then it turned into rain and returned to the earth. I felt that nature was really amazing. [Cost-effective] I bought tickets directly on Trip.com, which is 110. Need to go to the scene to change tickets. I don't know if it is the off-season reason, the parking lot is free of charge. When I got the ticket, I read the regular price of 220 yuan for the round-trip cable car and 30 yuan for the big ticket. So now it is equivalent to receiving half of the cable car ticket, and then the big ticket is free, which is still cost-effective.
