The exhibits are interesting, but the buildings and ceilings are also wonderful
Original Text
The "Keizo Morimoto Memorial Hall" in front of the stone steps toward Tsuyama Castle deepens Tsuyama's recognition of wealthy merchants by its exhibits, but I was attracted to the interior of this building, especially the ceiling decoration. This is the "Former Tsuyama Christian Library", and there is an explanation about the spread of Christianity in Tsuyama and a sermon stand inside. The admission fee is 500 yen.
It was built as a Christian facility in the Taisho era and is now used as a local museum. It seems that Kanzo Uchimura also visited in the past, and it is also a 1 page of Tsuyama's history.
When I traveled to Aomori, there were many banks and Western-style buildings, and I immediately thought of Aomori when I saw it. Looking at the explanation, it is still related to Aomori, and it is a wonderful Western-style building in the 1920s. This is a characteristic building with a clock tower behind and a cross inside, which made an impact.
What is it, I discovered a building in the middle of the city that keenly feels the high academic level of Tsuyama. The former Tsuyama Christian Library, which was established for the purpose of evangelizing Christian documents, is now the Keizo Morimoto Memorial Hall. It was built in 1926 (Taisho 15), right next to Tsuruyama Park in the center of Tsuyama City. As for the content, I think that the history of the building that survived in this prime place is wonderful because of the private efforts of this building, and the value is high but the economic rationality is not very high ...
It is located at the entrance of Tsuyama Castle. The tourist information center is on the east side. I imagined that he was built in this place as the place where people gathered the most in the past.
