Old style house on the hill
This is a cool house on the side of a hill that has some history. I don't know the history of it but my kids refer to it as the "spooky house". Its only open in the day time. In the spring all the ...

Original Text
Visited on weekday afternoons. The previous customer is 2 name. About 10 minutes walk from "Negishi Station" on the JR Keihin Tohoku / Negishi Line. The mansion is on a hill and is a nostalgic park that anyone can enter from the gate. Modern architecture from the Taisho era to the early Showa era consists of a Japanese-Western style building and a warehouse in the back. It was donated and managed to Yokohama City in 1996. After that, it became a designated tangible cultural property of the city. You can tour the interior, but now there are regulations on seed 々 due to the corona disaster. Toilets are not available and shooting is not possible.
Stop by when walking around the Yokohama area. The elegant appearance of the former Yanagishita residence looking up from Negishi nostalgia Park is wonderful. You can also visit the mansion for free. It seems that the coastline was in front of you in the past, and you could have spent it in a pleasant sunshine and a wonderful view. It's a fairly large mansion, so it's spectacular.
The former Yanagishita residence of "Negishi no Kainatsushi Park" became a tangible cultural property designated by Yokohama City in the Shimocho area of Negishi, where mysterious mansions are scattered. You can get a glimpse of the lives of successful people of that era in the building of the Taisho era. Admission is free.

According to the pamphlet purchased at the reception, it was built in the Taisho era as the residence of the Yanagishita family, which ran a metal merchant. It was roughly divided into the West Building, the East Building, and the Dozo. When I entered the entrance of the West Building, I saw the bathroom. There was a Goemon bath that reminds me of my childhood. In addition, there were many Japanese-style rooms in the West Building, and warrior dolls and hanging figures were displayed. ... in the East Building
