Before visiting Zhijin Cave, I had been to Fengdu's Snow Jade Cave and Wulong's Furong Cave. Although these two caves are magnificent and colorful in their own right, they do not compare to the grand scale, diverse forms, and numerous wonders of Zhijin Cave. Zhijin Cave is a karst cave system that is complete in all aspects: category, form, stage, and level. It can be described with three words: big, strange, and complete. Contemporary writer Feng Mu once exclaimed after visiting Zhijin Cave, "There is no other cave under heaven like Zhijin Cave." Whenever I go to a place, I always look for traces of inscriptions first. On the stone carving corridor outside Zhijin Cave, I found inscriptions left by many famous people who were all captivated by this most beautiful underground karst cave. Walking down from the entrance of Zhijin Cave, the winding path is about 6 kilometers long in total, with about 22 spectacular sights in the cave. You must visit Zhijin Cave when you come to Guizhou, otherwise, you will not know how wonderful and breathtaking the underground world can be. 📝Tips for visiting Zhijin Cave: There is only one path inside the cave, so don't worry about getting lost! Under the vast starry sky-like cave ceiling, there are variously shaped stalactites, a bit like entering the world of 'The Grave Robbers' Chronicles', quite shocking! Photos can't capture the shock of the scene at all. 🍀 Zhijin Cave is located in Guanzhai Miao Township, Zhijin County, Bijie City, Guizhou Province, with a length of 13 kilometers. The cave is filled with various kinds of stalagmite deposits and crystals, with more than 120 different forms, setting a world record, and is a World Geopark. To visit: 1⃣️ Self-driving: Zhijin Cave is about an hour and a half's drive from Guiyang. There are 3 parking lots in the scenic area. If you don't go to Zhijin Grand Canyon, you can park at parking lots 2 and 3, and take the sightseeing bus from there. If you go to Zhijin Grand Canyon, park at parking lot 1, and there is a shuttle bus from the last stop of the Zhijin Cave sightseeing bus to the Grand Canyon. 2⃣️ Public transportation: Search for 'Qianshang Bus' on WeChat, and you can buy bus tickets from Guiyang to Zhijin County from this mini-program. Get off at Peninsula Hot Springs Station, then cross the road to take the No. 10 bus directly to Zhijin Cave; take the earliest train from Guiyang to Zhijin County, then take the No. 10 bus from the train station to Zhijin Cave. 👉 The whole cave tour takes about 3 hours or more, with only one one-way route, one cave entrance in, and another cave exit out, all the way on stairs. It's not too tiring to walk the whole way if you usually walk a lot. The cave is very cool, bring a jacket, wear non-slip waterproof shoes. 🎫 Ticket + sightseeing car for adults is 85 yuan. If you have enough time, you can buy a combined ticket with Zhijin Grand Canyon, and it's even more recommended to add the Wujiang Source Hundred-Mile Gallery, take a boat to see the canyon scenery, which is very close to the Zhijin Cave scenic area. 🌟 Highlights of the cave: Upside-down Pipa, Overlord's Helmet, Silver Rain Tree, Ganoderma Mountain, Sister Jade Trees, Pillar Holding Up the Sky, Pearl in the Palm. 🏠 There are many accommodations around the Zhijin Cave scenic area. We stayed at a homestay in Guanzhai Village, where the room window opens to the Grand Canyon. The next day, the owner drove us to the entrance of the scenic area, which was quite affordable. 📷 There are photographers at the Overlord's Helmet and Silver Rain Tree who can help you take photos. Zhijin Cave Global Geopark is located in Guanzhai Miao Ethnic Township, Zhijin County, Guizhou Province, characterized by typical karst landforms, featuring unique karst caves and canyons as the main body, combined with the ethnic customs of minorities, with a high degree of combination.
